A: I should be allowed to keep hundreds of thousands of dollars I don't need because of this.

Q: What is because it's yours?

    or

Q: What is because you've devalued it so much it's worthless anyway?

    or

Q: What is because if you gave it back to Goldman Sachs it would be crony charity not crony capitalism?

Owebama references promises in campaign speeches as though they are lies, does that mean that last summer was "the Summer of Loss"?...

  2. Kolohe   14 years ago

I am intrigued and would like to know more about this Bureau of Head.

    1. BakedPenguin   14 years ago

      IIRC, Clinton started that.

      1. Quetzalcoatl   14 years ago

        Or possibly JFK.

  3. sage   14 years ago

Goddamn, every iteration of Obama is getting uglier and uglier. This one looks like some wrapped a hose clamp around his head and overtightened it. At least the head/body proportion looks correct, though.

    1. Poppycock   14 years ago

Nawh, it's a violin head, subliminable message of Nero fiddling.

      1. ???   14 years ago

Fun Fact: Bok actually is copying his drawing from a painting of Obama hanging in his house that happens to be aging and growing repellant, Dorian Gray style.

    4. Almanian   14 years ago

This would be RACIST if the President were not a Mulatto.

    5. Frank Reynolds   14 years ago

Look at that! Barack Obama is doing a great blackface!

  4. Another Isolated Incident   14 years ago

An Oswego man charged with stealing groundskeeping equipment from St. Peter's Cemetery faces additional charges related to one other break-in there and another at St. Paul's Cemetery, city police said.

David J. Spedding, 19, of 2220 county Route 8, was charged this week with two additional counts of felony burglary and two counts of misdemeanor criminal mischief, as well as one count of petit larceny.

    Nothing else happened.

ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. -- A 28-year-old sheriff's deputy is facing felony charges after allegedly punching a restrained 15-year-old boy in the face, breaking the teen's jaw.
      ...
Because of the teen's belligerent behavior, a member of the ambulance crew restrained the teen's hands and feet in order to assess his injuries, and no visible injuries were noted. It was then Morrow allegedly entered the ambulance to retrieve his handcuffs.

According to witnesses, Morrow "struck the juvenile on the face with a closed fist" as he passed the teen, who was still restrained on the ambulance gurney. The teen suffered a broken jaw.

According to the arrest affidavit, Morrow told the ambulance crew, "Nobody saw anything, right?"

He does know that he can send his "extra" money to the Treasury if he wants to, right?

    1. sarcasmic   14 years ago

It's not fair if he sends in his "extra" money while other evil rich people aren't forced to send in theirs. Therefor he will not send in his "extra" money until the other evil selfish greedy rich people are forced to send in theirs. By not sending in his "extra" money until others are forced to send in their "extra" money he is showing compassion and altruism.

      1. Night Elf Mohawk   14 years ago

See, I was interpreting his statement as something along the lines of "If it's not compelled, it's not possible." I feel so bad about not seeing the wisdom in His words.

        1. sarcasmic   14 years ago

That is exactly true. If there wasn't a law mandating that people consume a minimum amount of calories each day then everyone would starve to death. Without laws compelling people to do things, nothing would get done. I mean, I'd shit my pants if there wasn't a law saying I must use the toilet.

          1. Concerned Citizen   14 years ago

My wife worked with a guy who would send extra to the IRS every April to reduce the debt. I think we've found the New Soviet Man.

            1. Mikec711   14 years ago

I applaud this man. I don't do it because I think the gov't already takes too much and has no ability to constrain its spending. But this guy at least puts his money where his mouth is (literally). Most just feel entitled to my $s.

  6. Another Isolated Incident   14 years ago

    Four KCK police officers arrested

Four members of a Kansas City, Kan., police tactical unit were arrested and released pending formal charges after an internal investigation uncovered evidence of misconduct, the city's police chief said Wednesday.

    Nothing else happened.

  11. PS   14 years ago

If you removed the over-explanation pane to the left I think this is pretty decent political cartoon.

  12. Dark Helmet   14 years ago

Reason commenters used to be so good at plugging random movie references into their threads...

But I can't for the life of me remember the last time I saw one.

So, for no reason in particular... We must go straight to... ludicrous speed!

  13. emerson   14 years ago

    Needs more labels.

  14. James Ard   14 years ago

I didn't even notice the panel on the left. It looked like an ad to me.

It's about time anon-bot starts dishing the dirt!

  16. LibertarianJRT   14 years ago

The toon to the right can't fit down the chimney. The panel to the left is like a kid from the Phillipines.

  17. Fist of Etiquette   14 years ago

Notice no one in this cartoon has asked a "Jeopardy question". They're both asking actual questions. They're not playing by the rules. That represents the dance the Obama Administration and the White House Press Corps does, where neither fulfills its obligations and expectations of transparency.

    1. ?   14 years ago

That's what I thought, but I didn't want to say anything because I was afraid I just didn't get it and people would think I'm not very smart, which I'm not.

Why is Ringo Starr staring at Obama's necktie?

    1. Almanian   14 years ago

      He's a racist?

    2. Jon Schaffer`s Right Hand   14 years ago

Obama penciled in a "necktie" on his white dress shirt. Ringo must be wondering where he can get some of whatever Obama is on.

  20. Almanian   14 years ago

Alex Trebek: It's a compilation of every one of Chip's cartoon's.
    Q: What is "a Bok's Set", Alex?

    Alex Trebek: Correct

Alex Trebek: We have no Earthly idea why anyone would want....this.
    Q. What is "Why anyone would want a 'Bok's Set'?"
