No, the president won't love you in the morning.
And the taxpayers will get screwed.
"barbaric yawp"
Nice band name.
And my answer to the titular question: Not enough to retain congressional seats in 2012.
Sure, the GOP will cut spending, particularly defense. Right after Sasha Grey gives me a blowjob.
Obama and Clinton could help here if they were serious. The Euros have been free-riding on the US defense budget since the end of WWII; get them to cover their share. Or let the bear walk in from the east.
If correlation=causation we could take up a collection, 'cause I think Sasha blows for $$$.
It's with trepidation I introduce OT material on The Jacket's thread but Hit and Runners would obviously not have watched this for themselves.
Cable host Keith Olbermann and news channel MSNBC abruptly parted ways on Friday night:

I was unable to do a standing backflip for some 30 years.
Until this moment.
"...senior executives and others at the network remained angry over Mr. Olbermann's behavior, before and during the affair,..."
IOWs, even his bosses weren't willing to deal with that egotistical jerk. No great surprise; I'd bet his dog doesn't like him.
must be Comcast's way of saying hello.
Spitzer/Olbermann?
Another hack bites the dust. This and Leberman's retirement is cause for celbration.
go to bed
My bed.
Read mt blog.
As bad as I thought he was, his show WAS number 1 on MSNBC, which says a lot about how much his was able to piss off his bosses. Good riddance.
I think I see a mustache growing back. Yay! Or maybe it was just late in the day.
Hey, Jude
The short answer is we're fucked.
I guess Olberdoodle quit before being canned.

If it wasn't for all this vitriolic behavior that sweet man would still be on the air
No he wouldn't. Comcast didn't want the Zucker headache and turd level management and Zucker has been backing Olberdoodles antics (within the station). Olby lost his bully and now the rest of the people and Comcast don't want him. It will be interesting to see where he goes. Sports is out since ESPN wants nothing to do with him and FOX won't touch him. I can't see CNN taking him so I guess he can hit up PBS.
hmm, joke fail 🙁
"I can't see CNN taking him so I guess he can hit up PBS."
Indian Casinos.
Ding dong, the witch is dead!
Reason.tv illustrates Keith's departure well.
I hate it that the Judge cut Nick off right as he was explaining the 19% Solution to balancing the budget.
Is that a new leather jacket? Hot.
If I recall my demographics correctly, Tea Party members are mostly older Americans. Older Americans love Social Security and Medicare, not to mention defense spending. So will the Tea Party be more likely to punish Congress for the lack of substantial spending cuts or to punish Congress for cutting programs that they love? The Tea Party can't have it both ways, though many Republicans have assured them to the contrary.
Will the GOP cut spending? No, they will not cut spending.
