    What? No goatee?

    1. Spiny Norman   15 years ago

I think he's passed the facial hair torch to Nick.

      1. Spiny Norman   15 years ago

I'm still working on my metaphor skills.

    2. Bradley   15 years ago

I came here expecting facial hair, and was sorely disappointed. Matt, you tease.

      1. Fake Name   15 years ago

  2. Fist of Etiquette   15 years ago

Ha! I love the "reveal" at the 2:35 mark. There are other people sitting there!

"& Company" doesn't seem to be paying much attention to what cub reporter Matt Welch is saying. Either that or they're all tweeting the convo.

  3. Rather   15 years ago

Matt Welch, you've been around too many native French; the flailing of your arms is distracting and unnatural. I see you have learned from your last fashion faux pas but the tie is still not right.; bring two and ask the camera guy's opinion!

    1. Matt Welch   15 years ago

You seem not to understand that the tie is a conscious choice.

      1. rather   15 years ago

If you are going to rock your style, do so consistently-otherwise it will not be your "look" but make you look unpolished. Your hands on Gutfeld's show made me think you were sending out secret codes a la 39 steps.

        1. Mango Punch   15 years ago

You mean like Nick owns the leather jacket look?

You're tie might have been a little Regis Philbinesque.

          Nice job though!

        2. Matt Welch   15 years ago

Who says "unpolished" isn't a look?

          1. Matt Welch Makes Me Sleepy   15 years ago

Sure it is. Just like that young woman who designs clothing with the intent of disarming the male gaze.

  4. VeenBeener   15 years ago

Oh wow, OK I never thought about it like that before.

      RACIST!!!

  5. Mango Punch   15 years ago

    It's a little Regis Philbinesque...

    Nice job though.

  6. ChrisH   15 years ago

So the Reason staff had a facial hair contest, and... everybody lost?

    1. Matt Welch   15 years ago

      Freedom lost.

  7. H. Protagonist   15 years ago

So much for that "It's all cuts!" prediction. It's half cuts, half assumed voter-passed tax increases. In other words, Jerry Brown is old enough to play games.
