The woman was a public employee making decisions that affected people. As her salary and her e-mail services were provided by taxpayers, we ought to be able to know what she was doing.
Do you understand the difference between public and private? Libertarians care about this distinction.
Work emails from someone nominated to be a SCOTUS Justice are important to know who would sit on the bench. If she has another mail account for her pervy chats, that one would be irrelevant and, indeed, invasive to read.
