Once you introduce something being from Saturday Night Live, this:

    It ain't funny...

    is understood.

    1. BakedPenguin   16 years ago

I do have to admit that it was decent satire, though.

  2. SIV   16 years ago

I'm pleasantly surprised they did that sketch. Is anything on SNL funny ?

    1. Scotticus Finch   16 years ago

Ke$ha's dancing was pretty hilarious last week.

It was like a middle-school cheerleading routine. Not that I hang out at those...

  3. Lester Hunt   16 years ago

They are truly, and quite literally, the ruling class.

It's nice that the entertainment industry is free of abusive unions.

    1. sage   16 years ago

Such as the Film Actors Guild?

      1. SAG   16 years ago

        Don't forget us!

        1. sage   16 years ago

          I like my acronym better.

          1. So does...   16 years ago

            Matt Damon!

            1. SAG   16 years ago

Yeah, but now that boob implants are on the way out...

  5. Ernie the Bear   16 years ago

    Wait, SNL is still on?

  6. Tim Cavanaugh   16 years ago

That routine really died. If you filter out the fake-audience responses, it sounds like they got almost no response at all. Still, I'm glad they did it.

  7. Randy   16 years ago

Pretty good satire about gov't waste and fraud performed in front of a studio audience of mostly doctrinaire liberals. No wonder it didn't get many laughs.

  8. Christopher Monnier   16 years ago

People love to hate on Saturday Night Live. I like it.

    1. Billy!   16 years ago

It was always more hit and miss than people want to remember. Even during whatever age one thinks was the golden age.

      1. Tulpa   16 years ago

Yes, but it's almost all miss at this point.

  9. James Anderson Merritt   16 years ago

I think it was a gutsy move for SNL. But Reason, was your move as gutsy? Do you get a kickback for the Colgatge advertisement that people must get through if they click the video link? This is almost as bad as clicking through to a registration/subscription site.

  10. capitalistrunningdog   16 years ago

Well, it was not totally unfunny . . .

But things must be serious if even SNL notices.
