Crikey
British police arrested a businessman they suspected of sending an email to a local planning council opposing a gypsy's plan to keep a mobile home in an area overlooking the site of the Battle of Hastings. The letter writer said he opposed the "do as you likey" attitude, and police felt that was racist because it rhymes with "pikey" a derogatory term for low-class people. They arrested the man, who was not named by the press, for suspicion of "committing a racial or religious-aggravated offense." They later determined he had not sent the email, one of his employees had. That man was then arrested but the charges against him were later dropped.
