    goatlickingmonkeylover here

    1. brotherben   16 years ago

You sick freaks really get my goat!

  2. T   16 years ago

More straight up aggressive. The flame wars on my neighborhood group got so bad, they started moderating "offensive" comments. Apparently telling someone they are factually incorrect about the law is offensive. I don't post there anymore.

    1. Spartacus   16 years ago

      Well that depends.

Not offensive: "I'm pretty sure that's not right. Here's a citation: (insert link to reference)"

Potentially offensive even if accurate: "Only a retarded drunken monkey would think that! That's the stupidest fucking thing I've ever heard in my life and you are an idiot!"

      1. T   16 years ago

Try "That's not right. The statutes are here at [URL]." That was considered to be a personal attack, since after all, the original poster was only trying to help.

        1. Spartacus   16 years ago

Well, ok then. Somebody is being hypersensitive.

  3. EscapedWestOfTheBigMuddy   16 years ago

My place of employmnet is currently sporting IAmALlamaHearMeRoarNetwork.

    Eh?

    1. T   16 years ago

Someone is not supervising the IT department real closely there, huh?

    2. hmm   16 years ago

Maybe he is employed by a "security" company made up of Llamas?

    3. Pope Jimbo   16 years ago

Dollars to donuts that it is japh (just another perl hacker)

The llama ref comes from this book:

Huh. In my 'hood we barely speak to one another. Of course, many residents don't speak-a-anyenglish.

I know the neighbors to the immediate sides and a few others, but that's about it. Generally, we know those with kids close to our own kids in age.

An middle-aged, kidless couple across the street from us moved out recently, and was in their house before we moved in on '02. I didn't even know their names.

  5. Fist of Etiquette   16 years ago

I have no neighbors (closest is about a mile away) but my friend had me rename his "NoFreeRide" when I secured his router for him. I see now we should have been more creative.

    1. T   16 years ago

I usually find not broadcasting the SSID makes it even more secure, but that's just me.

    2. sage   16 years ago

      PutOutOrGetOut?

  6. MattXIV   16 years ago

Eh, I'd just react by renaming my network "IKnowAndItsIntentional".

  7. Abercrombie and Fitch   16 years ago

    Thank you!

  8. thomas sabo   16 years ago

Eh, I'd just react by renaming my network "IKnowAndItsIntentional".
