Roger Stone's Best and Worst Dressed Mens and Womens of 2009
Political operative and french-cuff wearer Roger Stone has compiled his second annual best and worst dressed list. Among the best: Barack Obama, Jude Law, Halle Berry, and Rachel Uchitel.
Among the worst: Jesse Ventura, Chuck Schumer (right…and so wrong), Sarah Silverman, and Ivana Trump.
His commentary is a hoot. For instance, his great nemesis Eliot Spitzer made the list of Best Dressed:
YES Client # 9 is on the list for the second year. While we admit we'd rather see him in prison stripes, he still personifies a heavily European influenced Upper East Side gentleman. Collars a bit loose but Hermes ties and somber blues with a soft shoulder suits - a bit stiff but deeply conservative, unlike his sexual side.
And here he is on Jesse Ventura, who made the Worst Dressed:
I understand the feather boa in his wrestling days but as Jesse the body emerges as the head of the 9/11 conspiracy theorists or "truthers", he looks like a homeless Hulk Hogan on his latest cable TV interviews. The bald with a ponytail look is so…still bald. Baggy sweat pants: Good for gym, bad for National TV.
And watch Stone talk to Reason.tv about "new media and old campaign tricks" below. (Yes, he was appalled by my Simon Cowell-like T-shirt.)

second annual best and worst dressed list.
Oh yes, I remember reading about that in Who Gives a Crap magazine.
I am not a gay fish!
You are quite intelligent and not the least bit overweight.
Mr. Schumer, can't you pay the guy who's stretched your face out like an astronaut at takeoff to suck the flab out of your bosom?
I see in the Sarah Silverman post where her and Jimmy Kimmel broke up before they procreated. Thank God.
I think Sarah Silverman is gorgeous, but it's too bad her outfits and her comedy are both so down-market.
I think she is cute. But I can't stand Jimmy Kimmel.
Me neither.
The bald with a ponytail look is so...still bald.
OK, that is pretty funny. And true.
Ah yes, the hippie answer to the comb-over: the bonytail!
Ventura looks amazingly scary in the picture of him in the article. I guess the years of roids and hard living have finally caught up with him.
The girl in the floral pants is actually decently hot.
Huh? Where'd you see that?
She is standing behind Chuck in the picture. And she is cute.
Is that a port wine stain on her face? Or does that just happen when you are near the Schumster?
Thanks for the link - it has provided me with the phrase "salmon patch." Although I'm going to change it to flounder patch and use it in place of landing strip.
She's maybe a 7.5 but would lose several points since she's holding Chuck's purse for him.
The muffin top with no waist and (probably fake) Louis Vuitton? Good god, your taste is bad.
Threadjack
"Obama's top advisers say they no longer believe the key finding of a much disputed National Intelligence Estimate about Iran, published a year before President George W. Bush left office, which said that Iranian scientists ended all work on designing a nuclear warhead in late 2003."
http://www.nytimes.com/2010/01.....3iran.html
I recall Reason giving a lot of play to that report back in the day and heaping a lot of scorn on those who said it was crap. I wonder if Reason will post on the subject now?
That report will go down in the annals of classic US intelligence failures regarded nuclear proliferation, one suspects.
Why would anyone want to discuss completely irrelevant stuff like Iran's nuclear program when we can talk about the truly critical issues, like Charles Schumer's lavender shirt?
Oh cry me a river, bitch. If you don't like the subject matter of a post, try using that little wheel on your mouse.
When is reason going to demand an investigation of the faulty intelligence?
Caption contest!
"What do you mean, where's my wig?"
"Chuck. You know what that rhymes with, right?"
Upchuck?
Woodchuck?
Ground chuck?
I dunno, I give up.
MARIA SHRIVER?
She looks like the Crypt Keeper in Tales from the Crypt.
But her clothes make her seem a little less so. Hence her inclusion.
"You tell Barney he is not the only queen in this town. And one of them is a Senator."
I'm no golf expert, but if I swung my club in the direction shown by the arrows in the add, the ball ain't going very far.
But it would work well at busting up ice in the driveway
SIMON COWELL - Can you say man-boobs? This guys looks like a wax pear that sat on a radiator too long.
Dude. Gold.
Schumer is puffing out mixed signals there. The Mardi Gras beads say he showed someone his tits, but the Mork rape whistle says looky no touchy.
MICHAEL MOORE - Please someone just shoot him. The man gives the word "slob" a new meaning; slovenly.
Bwa ha ha ha ha
Worth the price of admission right there.
"Hey, which one of you guys grabbed my boobs?"
I generally get my style themed snark here:
http://menwholooklikeoldlesbians.blogspot.com/
That site is a classic, and I'm pretty sure I've seen Shumer on there.
Why am I not surprised that you troll websites where it's all pictures of old dudes who look like lesbians?
Everyone has their kink.
If your kink is Chuck Schumer, the standard NTTAWWT disclaimer does not apply.
No question there is something deeply wrong about that.
Heh. Well there's only so much missgayamerica.com to go around, so one must improvise.

Thank God someone (and, certainly, the right someone) has filled that gaping void left by the death of Mr. Blackwell.
As pretty as she is, I nominate La Meester for one of the worst.
Jon Gosselin deserves a dishonorable mention as well.
No shout out for the signature leather ("Fine Corinthian Leather") jacket, Nick?
The jacket reportedly refused to be in the same room as Stone and thus Nick was reduced to taking shots about his T-shirt.
While I am displeased that my links proving why Jon Gosselin should be on the worst-dressed list were labelled as spam, I am cheered to see that Michelle Obama is absent from the best-dressed list.
If I hear one more gush about her "toned" thick arms and the audacious choice to wear boxy looking sheaths, I will lose it.
She flies bigger flags that the Whitehouse. I think the over the top love for Michelle Obama shows how racist the media really is. She is an average looking middle aged mom. And there is nothing wrong with that. But she is not Jackie O. To claim she is is to reach heights of racist condescension heretofore never reached even by the media.
It's like they're so amazed a black woman has heard of a designer other than Baby Phat, they mistake boring and often unflattering looks for style genius.
The real problem with Michelle Obama, is that she has, as I like to say, a mouthful of teeth.
Struggling with your lips to keep your chompers in line is not a good look for anyone. She looks like a kid about to giggle and show the cheap vampire fangs she shoved in her mouth right before ringing the doorbell.
WWJGD's link has a prime example of what I'm talking about.
Did any of you read the comments on that post? Wow. "Face like a bulldog licking piss off a nettle." Stuff like that.
My wife, who is not very political, always asks me why they make such a big deal out of the First lady in the media. I tell her that she's like Mrs. Christ.
The media fawning over her looks has really seemed odd to me. She usually just looks ticked off and/or mean. And those giant WWF-style belts she often wears should disqualify her from any "best dressed" lists.
The World Wildlife Fund sells belts?
Yup. Made of baby seal fur and ivory. They're pretty sharp looking too.
I forgot about the lawsuit-induced name change. The ones with the belts are the WWE now.
Good time to post this...

Everybody knows she is a Klingon. If she isn't one of the Durass sisters I'll eat my hat.
Is he wearing a bra?
Anybody that dares going around town with that shirt deserves to be shot!
Is he wearing a bra?
No, it's called a "bro."
I thought it was a manzier
And what's up with the headline? Would not "Men and Women" be plural enough?
Apparently Nick is a ghetto black man.
Best and Worst Dressed Mens and Womens
Plurals of plurals. That's the worst.
Bestest and Worstest Dressed Mens and Womens
There. I Sudermanned it for ya.
Methinks somebody deleted the word "list" from the final copy.
I thought it was a manzier
NO, IT'S A BRO.
I'm shocked -- SHOCKED! -- Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab didn't make the list.
Having observed 9/11 Troofer meetings from a distance, I have to say that The Body is probably the best dressed of them all.
Someone needs to tell Roger Stone that suspenders and rolled-up sleeves is a bad combo.
