And gold is back above $1k/oz. It's GOLD! GOLD! GOLD!
? New tax cheat allegations aren't likely to cost Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-N.Y.) his chairmanship of tax writing committee.
If anyone ever needs it briefly explained to them why no one should listen to politicians ever, here's a sentence.
? McDonald's loses long legal battle against India's "McCurry."
It's in Malaysia, not India. And it sounds delicious.
"They've got the golden arches; we've got the golden arcs. They've got the Big Mac; we've got the Big Mick."
If anyone ever needs it briefly explained to them why no one should listen to politicians ever, here's a sentence.
But, being from Harlem, I'm not really a politician.
I went to McDonald's when I was in Kuala Lumpur. I can't remember what local oddities the menu included, but the hamburger and fries tasted pretty much the same as here. The Coke was much better, being sweetened by sugar, but, as with all not-the-United-States nations, ice was virtually nonexistent.
Hey, hey guys, now, Rangel hasn't been charged with anything. I'm sure he's innocent of any wrongdoing, and this will all blow over soon.
Is Joe M the quip writer for Nancy Pelosi?
ice was virtually nonexistent.
Bloody savages.
The only way Rangel is getting knocked down is via a dead girl, a live boy, or $90,000 in the freezer. Although some of the more strident liberal pricks around here are willing to overlook the last one.
They've been overlooking the first for nearly 40 years.
From the Brickbats:
Inspectors working for the Stoke City Council in England have warned residents to remove welcome mats and potted plants from their porches. Officials say people could trip over the items.
It's getting to the point where I'm beginning to think all these stories out of the UK are just an elaborate joke. They're sitting over their drinking their tea, laughing at us for thinking this shit is serious and at the same time mildly concerned that most of us aren't appalled enough or even aware.
Hitler hates safe sex.
The most important reason to lealize prostitution. Screw every one of the blue nosed puritans standing in the way of a person's right to do what they wish with their own goddam body.
Dear SugarFree,
Never post another Hitler sex video story first thing back from a holiday vacation. I only have a short week to recover.
Thank you.

McDonald's loses long legal battle against India's "McCurry."
I'm all for trademark protection but only an idiot or a lawyer would think an Mc prefix is intellectual property.

Live boy is a non starter, especially if he is running a prostitution business from your apartment, Frankly.
Johnny Longtorso,
It was a little rough after a long weekend.
All I could think of was: "That's not just any bad man. That there's Hitler. And he's fucking your pet donkey."
Suge,
I love how people were complaining the commercial might make people think that people with aids are nazis.
Cabeza de Vaca,
Exactly. When they should have been thinking "Sure, a one-night stand with Hitler might be fun, but he killed a lot of people and might have AIDS."
Also, awesome typo, guys:
to tap into $5 billion "emergency fund" potion of the stimulus
Good catch, SugarFree. A bona fide RC'z Law like that rarely makes it past Hit 'n' Run's army of editors.
rangel could murder a hooker in the capitol building and still get re-elected the following november.
rangel could murder a hooker in the capitol building and still get re-elected the following november..
Put it on pay-per-view and Charlie won't even need to grovel for campaign donations.
Is the Stimulus Potion one of those "natural male enhancement" scams that runs on TV?
rangel could murder a hooker in the capitol building and still get re-elected the following november.
Would it make any difference if it was a gay hooker?
What if it was a gay hooker working out of Barney Frank's house?
Classic feministing post of the day:

I was saddened to read about the lack of funding for women's porn. As Royalle's final comment implies, I'm sure that when people witness the moral and artistic superiority of women's porn to men's, the latter will just wither gradually away. This is unlikely to happen, however, when the men's porn monopoly has a stranglehold on the market.
I believe the government should step in to redress this inequality arising from market failure. It's not just about funding for porn production, either. There's a whole job of training new cohorts of women to
participate fully in an industry in which they have hitherto only been included in order to be exploited. Higher education establishments and careers advice agencies should be alerted to the problem.
This is a good job, as you say, but as Royalle points out there is still some ways to go.
That feministing post is a gem.
Charlie Rangel is really one of the biggest pieces of shit out there, and yet he's managed to get away with it forever, and with no end in sight. Just outstanding.
I particularly like that "stephen" made that feministing post. Methinks stephen likes him some hot girl-on-girl action.
And gold is back above $1k/oz.
About fucking time. I have half the RC Estate in gold and gold mining stocks, which have been little better than flatlined for most of the year.
"That's not just any bad man."
Truly masterful work, SF. Have you ever thought of repacing Adrienne Thomas?
Replacing! RC'z Law strikes again!
when people witness the moral and artistic superiority of women's porn to men's
Because I know I worry about the moral values and artistry when I'm watching the torrent of Lesbian Nuns in Bondage VI. WTF? Is he real, or just trying to get laid by feminists?
Methinks stephen likes him some hot girl-on-girl action.
He has no monopoly on that.

Beck said a little bit ago that gold is up because the UN calling for a world currency that isn't U.S.dollars. He also said, if I didn't mis-hear him, that China is buying gold. Is that big, or am I a moran?
"Suspected serial killer arrested in Milwaukee."
If someone really wanted to advance their career in the Milwaukee PD they would let him go, then hand over a prostitute for him to kill. Afterall it worked for Milwaukee Police Association President John Balcerzak.
Beck said a little bit ago that gold is up because the UN calling for a world currency that isn't U.S.dollars. He also said, if I didn't mis-hear him, that China is buying gold. Is that big, or am I a moran?
Its huge. The Chinese have vast paper reserves, which they are converting to hard assets as fast as they can. Chinese gold holdings have increased very rapidly, and they have signalled their intention to keep buying on dips. Effectively, the Chinese are putting a floor on the price of gold.
Which is interesting, because the central banks have been trying to cap the price of gold. That's why you see what the quants call a "pennant" formation on the gold charts (the floor for the price and the cap on the price are converging). Pennant formations are unstable over time; there is always a breakout one way or the other.
I can think of no good reason for the breakout to be to the downside, and I think we are seeing the upside breakout now.
