If that were actually happening, Glenn would have been fined by the government, or arrested, or imprisoned, or tortured, or killed.

NOT ONE of those things have happened. A bunch of companies felt that Glenn's douchebaggery would be considered offensive by many viewers, and if these consumers saw their companies sponsoring this piece of crap show, the people might be turned off, and it would be bad for business.

A company can't be forced to sponsor Glenn Beck, unless you can find a way to make Boy Scouts of America allow gay and atheist members into their organization.

That's funny, since the phrase I've always used to describe Beck is "an idiot stumbling in the right direction". For example, in a recent interview with Rand Paul he quite explicitly said that he used to be wrong for supporting an interventionist foreign policy, and is certainly moving down the track from a statist-conservative to a more libertarian worldview. Not too terribly long ago there was an uproar on lefty sites because of a quote of Beck that made it sound like he believed there were camps in the US for retraining conservatives. When in reality, the show was about how the topic kept coming up in calls, and Beck was debunking the idea.

Based on most of the comments here, I'm assuming many of you haven't watched or listened to more than two minutes of his show before developing your very negative opinion of him.

I'm not even a big fan. He can be entertaining, but I don't like that he isn't more careful about a small percentage of the time that he gets into stuff that is clearly debunkable. But I certainly don't see that as a reason to bash him any more than any other opinion show host out there.

It's my understanding he has actually gained sponsers...Unilever...for example.

Glenn Beck is a Patriot. If you would open your mind and listen to a mere hour of his radio show, or 10 minutes of his tv show, you're eyes would be opened. For example...Glenn is the only person in the media who is talking about people like Van Jones, one of the president's czars, who has an extensive criminal record and is an avowed and self declared communist. Many of us liberals do in fact watch Glenn Beck's show. I wince at it as if I were passing by an automobile accident. But you have to know your opposition. And one thing I am sure of is that Beck's show is entirely divorced of facts. Van Jones does not have an extensive criminal past. He was wrongly arrested ONCE for being present at a protest. And he has never referred to himself as a Communist. You are clearly repeating word-for-word Beck's arguments, and they are significantly flawed.

And you are even worse than Beck for following his haphazard claims, which are base and alarmist merely for the sake of ratings. The blind leads the blind. And I have a question. What is a "REAL AMERICAN?" And, why do idiotic conservatives such as yourself cling to these absurd phrases? I posit the only real Americans were evicted from this land and diseased to near extinction centuries ago. What we have today is a immigrant-nation of European descendants who have gained their wealth on account of African and Latin American cheap/slave labor. I'm not sure why everyone's stating Beck's wearing an East German tunic here,
when it looks more like a Bundeswehr (modern German Armed Forces, Army) tunic:

Vs. East German:

They look similar because they're both German (even though they are from two different countries with two different governmental ideologies), but the Bundeswehr collar tabs are rectanguler (only 90 degree angles), while the East German tabs are not. Even on the "open-collar" East German uniforms for officers (not shown), the collar tabs are large, metal and non-rectangular.
