    Enh. (First!)

  2. kilroy   16 years ago

    Fail

  3. Tricky Prickears   16 years ago

"You think your Commodore 64 is really neato, what kinda chip you got in there, a Dorito?"

  4. domoarrigato   16 years ago

    blech

  5. Mike in PA   16 years ago

Not a way to wake anyone up on a Friday morning... ZZZZZZZZZZZZ

  6. John-David   16 years ago

    To amplify kilroy, EPIC FAIL.

  7. Nick   16 years ago

Really guys? I thought this was the funniest Friday Funny ever. I know that's not saying much but it's a first from where I sit.

  8. Ben Kenobi   16 years ago

Just imagine the Team America Kim Jong Il reading out the cartoon. It makes it slightly funny.

  9. len   16 years ago

Wasn't last month's Bad Guy of Cyberspace China? And before that "Eastern European hackers".

For someone who works in the security field this is a pretty damn good one.

  10. Untermensch   16 years ago

I agree. This one works better than most. The idea of someone full of rhetoric about destruction resorting to DOS attacks is inherently amusing. But, given the demographic of most libertarians, this one may hit a little too close to home, hence the statements of failure: this is how too many of our readers would actually try to take action, and being compared to Kim Jong Il doesn't exactly stroke anyone's ego, except maybe Kim Jon Il's own one.

  11. John-David   16 years ago

Yep, you caught me. I'm the guy sitting in front of my computer all night manually sending spam emails to government servers. I only shouted fail because I hate being compared to that funny-looking Korean.

    Idiot.

  12. Warren   16 years ago

    Not funny.
    Not relevant.
    Middling artwork

    Grate: D

  13. Xeones   16 years ago

I almost smiled. Granted, i hadn't had coffee yet.

C-, unless we're grading Friday "Funnies" on a curve. In which case, A.

  14. Untermensch   16 years ago

Well John-David, I never claimed to be anything more than an idiot, hence my nom-de-guerre, which clearly shows my feelings of self loathing. And of course, you are right that this is an EPIC fail, on par with the Hindenburg, the Titanic, and everything else.

If you want to engage in hyperbole, expect some back.

  15. P Brooks   16 years ago

Soybean filler and fish by-products. Topped with plasticene cheese-like sauce.

  16. domoarrigato   16 years ago

    X

No curves, make Stantis take it like a man. D

  17. Citizen Nothing   16 years ago

    Definitely a chuckle.

  18. Citizen Nothing   16 years ago

"Hanz Briks, you're busting my balls!"

  19. smartass sob   16 years ago

Almost a chuckle. The light socket with the plugs piggybacked on it is too high tech. It would be funnier with a couple half-starved peasants pedaling a bicycle-driven generator.

  20. Francesco Sinibaldi   16 years ago

    Flint of wood.

    The thorn
    of a red rose
    appears in the
    light of
    September, and
    there, in the
    care of the
    darkness, a little
    chamois discovers
    a fate....

My only point is that if you take the Bible straight, as I'm sure many of Reasons readers do, you will see a lot of the Old Testament stuff as absolutely insane. Even some cursory knowledge of Hebrew and doing some mathematics and logic will tell you that you really won't get the full deal by just doing regular skill english reading for those books. In other words, there's more to the books of the Bible than most will ever grasp. I'm not concerned that Mr. Crumb will go to hell or anything crazy like that! It's just that he, like many types of religionists, seems to take it literally, take it straight...the Bible's books were not written by straight laced divinity students in 3 piece suits who white wash religious beliefs as if God made them with clothes on...the Bible's books were written by people with very different mindsets...in order to really get the Books of the Bible, you have to cultivate such a mindset, it's literally a labyrinth, that's no joke
