    Easily done, Warty.

I've had the same cast-iron skillet for nearly thirty years. I seasoned it by cooking bacon in it nearly every day for at least ten of those years.

Warty, my favorite cast iron skillet refused to season well. On a hunting trip I tried to fry frozen hash browns in oil over a camp fire. The oil splatterd and the whole thing caught fire for about 30 seconds. It has been perfect ever since.

I prefer ten+ years of daily bacon intake. It was a high price to pay for a properly seasoned skillet, but, dammit, sometimes a man's just gotta do what's necessary.
