Via Hotair and I Hate The Media, here's a clip of the Vermont Howler, former Gov. and presidential candidate Howard Dean on CNBC's Power Lunch saying, "I think we've had quite enough capitalism in the last eight years."

The entire planet’s economy and the well being of billions is dependent on the U.S. remaining primarily a market-based economy. The Democratic leadership is, for short-term gain, risking extremely dire consequences in trying to trash the capitalist system and pretend that the evidence isn’t pretty strong that socialism and regulatory socialism don’t work very well.

On the DVD for Training Day there is a deleted scene where Denzel Washingon’s character was telling an old yarn to his partner Jake. He talked about how he came by the house as a young patrolman, and saw a black man beating a doberman puppy with a rubber hose. The reason was that the dog’s owner, a hispanic male wanted his dog to “hate niggers”, so he paid this black man $20 a week to come by and beat the dog.

By putting George Bush in office for two terms, we successfully made millions of people around the globe “hate capitalism.”

That’s nice, unless you are concerned about the program, not the party.

Yes, they sometimes burn themselves out, which can be bad for the Democratic Party politicians specifically – but the program usually sticks, is gradually adapted to by the opposition, and serves as pretty much the starting point for the next round. Well, at least until possible total collapse.

Gradually adopted the opposition’s opinions on spending, size of government, regulation etc.

Then, when increased spending, runaway size of government and onerous regulation was the norm, everyone pointed and said “See, told you capitalism doesn’t work.”
