Matt, will he let you rub his shiny head for luck?
Matt! Be careful!
He was dating Encyclopedia Brown's mom and had her totally tricked, even after EB tried to inform her of his evil ways!
He later went to work in some sort of realestate thing in Miami.
I hope you have reviewed the extensive documentation on him from network television.
Matt,
Please don't run too far past noon? President Obama will be addressing the entire universe around then.
Liddy is no friend of liberty. His listeners are just as retarded and twice as dangerous as Limbaugh's.
But Warren, what about his bitchin' 'stache?
Warren,
So nice to hear from someone as expert on the show as you! So, you will be listening in moments, like is your want, as you do daily to keep us informed of his evil ways! Then you will quickly dial in the Limbaugh show on your wireless to keep tabs on him.
Or were you just kidding, like I was. Well, Liddy was on EB.
He might be an evil sonofabitch, but come the revolution, Liddy is hearby invited to help defend my compound. (He'll have to agree to be locked in a cage during his breaks, though.)
G. Gordon Liddy, Matt? Isn't he the guy that was strangling people with piano wire for Nixon? Or did I just make that up? Sounds plausible either way.
Citizen Nothing,
Sweet! Like Pullo did to that dude in "Rome"! Teh AWESome!
Q: "Why are you wasting food on that scoundrel?"
A: "He keeps the others in line."
Good point, Naga. And I've got a fuckin' big piano, so he'd be twice as useful.
*finishes strangling Naga*
Huh? Just what are you insinuating Citizen Nothing?
And I've got a fuckin' big piano, so he'd be twice as useful.
Those things are called pianos? I thought it was a cheese slicer.
I like your technique, G. Just make sure you clean up. The chipper is out back. And there's some Lysol under the sink.
Matt,
One of the better Reason staff appearances in the MSM that I can recall. Good show sport.
G Gordon sounds like he's about 90 years old and about to nod off at any moment. How'd he look up close?
Matt,
Bring a candle with you and ask Liddy how long he can hold his hand above the flame - "the trick is not caring".
I'm listening to Andrew Napolitano's Freedom Watch show now. You should go on that instead of this G. Gordon Liddy clown's show, Matt.
gmatts,
Close but no. He should use lye like in "Fight Club".
Citizen Nothing,
Fargo style? I like the way you think.
Ask him what it was like working with Don Johnson on Miami Vice. And did he adlib that monologue about pain and money on his 1st appearance?
G Gordon sounds like he's about 90 years old and about to nod off at any moment. How'd he look up close?
I hope I'm that spry at 80. Either that, or dead. We had a nice off-air chat about his brood of military officers, all (or almost all) who easily outranked him, serving in three of the four branches. He had one slow segue (sic), but live entertainment ain't easy.
I used to love listening to his show when I was a little girl. Was sad when he got moved to some station nobody can hear.
Sometimes I listen on the internet after work. Still a good show.
I hope you have reviewed the extensive documentation on him from network television.
Apparently, Matt now knows Mr. Liddy almost as well as Marcia Wallace and Betty White do.
(reference explained [in different formats] here and here)
I used to listen to his show occasionally back in the '90s. My favorite part was when he would spend the entire first hour of the show reading the Washington Times aloud. Great gig if you can get it.

[insert "illiterate audience joke"]
P Brooks,
That was just ignorant. I was a perfectly well read child in the 1990s and always looked forward to hearing Mr. Liddy read the news, with his comments, over the radio, when I was home from school.
It was called News and Comment for a reason. Perhaps for the illiterate commentators? Nah, they never pay enough attention.
Matt,
Started listening to the archive of your segment but fell asleep 🙁
No, silly readers, I fell asleep before Matt came on!
Will try to listen this weekend.
