Ayman al-Zawahri said in the message, which appeared on militant Web sites, that Obama is "the direct opposite of honorable black Americans" like Malcolm X, the 1960s African-American rights leader.
In al-Qaida's first response to Obama's victory, al-Zawahri also called the president-elect—along with secretaries of state Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice—"house negroes."
Speaking in Arabic, al-Zawahri uses the term "abeed al-beit," which literally translates as "house slaves." But al-Qaida supplied English subtitles of his speech that included the translation as "house negroes."
The message also includes old footage of speeches by Malcolm X in which he explains the term, saying black slaves who worked in their white masters' house were more servile than those who worked in the fields. Malcolm X used the term to criticize black leaders he accused of not standing up to whites.
It will be interesting indeed to watch how the outside world–and not just the Islamo-nutsandwiches–react to a half-black American president. Judging by Silvio Berlusconi's early example, we could be in for some comedy.

This is comical except for retiring that tired old assertion that electing Obama would put us back in the good graces of the rest of the world. The only thing the nutjob jihadist wants from us is to cease to exist, regardless of the skin color of the president.
Btw, is there a rule, or guidelines perhaps, about the use of the term "nergro"; who can use the term, in what context, in reference to which individuals or groups, etc.?

Since I'm almost completely ignorant when it comes to it, perhaps someone with a much better grasp of the language in question could clear this up for me. Aren't the words "slave" and "negro" pretty much synonymous in Arabic? Isn't the word abeed used to imply either?
Never been too big on conspiracy theories, but this almost seems too American culture-y with the references and such.
I've always had a sneaking suspicion that FOX News was writing these letters and producing these videos....
Maybe they are trying to infuriate Obama and the leftists into continuing the war on terror? Or, if they don't, then righties can claim moral high ground to attack the only thing worse than terrorists which is racists?
In my old Young College Republican meetings, we call this a win-win.
As one writer so eloquently put it, "It didn't long for Al Queda to start talking trash about the President-elect, and it appears that the black man is held down even all the way over in Tora Bora, or Bango Tango, or Namby Pamby, or wherever the hell bin Laden is hanging out with his dialysis machine nowadays."
Let's not get stuck on trivial issues like the racial beliefs of the Islamic Resistance. The empire must be fought on all fronts, militarily and rhetorically. The oppressed people of the world can't be held responsible for the racist beliefs that the capitalist system has imposed upon them.
The left loved Al Qaeda before, but now they will hate them, only because they violated racial P.C.!!!
Or perhaps, as one commentator on a blog I read stated, the left will come to agree with Al Qaeda because we love Al Qaeda so much. As a liberal, I must be quite frank in admitting that it is often difficult to determine whether my love of Al Qaeda is stronger or weaker than my liberal anti-American beliefs, especially when the two collide.

I think that Lindsey Lohan is also in need of guidelines.
Al Qaeda kills bans skepticism, and the left is fine with it. Al Qaeda practices female genital mutilation, and the left is fine with it. Al Qaeda executes homosexuals, and the left is fine with it. But criticize His Holyness Barack! To war!
I'll never understand why "people of color" is PC if "colored people" is not. Unless the former is literally meant as "people derived of color," that is. It doesn't make any sense either, but...
"Btw, is there a rule, or guidelines perhaps, about the use of the term "nergro"; who can use the term, in what context, in reference to which individuals or groups, etc.?"
I think Berlusconi's joke wasn't really about Obama's race.
He was saying "Obama's young, handsome, and tan" with an unspoken punchline, "like me" that the listeners would be expected to fill in, knowing that Berlusconi is infamous for his absurd orange tan.
He was basically flattering himself by claiming shared characteristics.
"You got to remember who is saying this...the guy believes the world is controlled by some secret Jewish emperor living in the center of the earth."
Duh. Everyone knows they've got teh gubmint in their pocket. Though I don't like the idea of the president as "master of the house". Unless they are referring solely to the White House, in which case I don't care.
Oh no he didn't!
Funny, I thought the Arabic translation of house slave is "suicide jihadist".
Hey, al-Zawahri, here's to another delightful winter in your cave mofo.
Can you still be a "house negro" if you're master of the house?
post-racial transcendence...WTFIT? over...
If only Al-Qaeda could see the video of Michelle Obama ranting against whitey.
Ralph Nader was the first Arab to call Obama an Uncle Tom. They are just following the President of the Arabs.

Crap, negro, not nergro.
Killing thousands of our citizens was one thing, but slinging racial epithets? al Quaeda has gone too far!
Old SNL Sketch:
Harry Belafonte: I'm gonna say it - Osama bin Laden is an Uncle Tom.
Chris Matthews: Wow. I don't even know who that's offensive to.
steve,
Al Qaeda commanders != "the rest of the world"
The left loved Al Qaeda before, but now they will hate them, only because they violated racial P.C.!!!
What I did above is supposed to be a parody. But I bet that will be close to the official talking point from that neck of the political spectrum.
joe,
From the same sketch:
Harry Belafonte: The poodle is the black man of the dog world.
Can you still be a "house negro" if you're master of the house?
You got to remember who is saying this...the guy believes the world is controlled by some secret Jewish emperor living in the center of the earth.
Another Phil,
Ya wabba Habba.
I think the proper response here is to laugh at them for their feeble attempts to encite us to action, rather than to retaliate.
nergro
A black nerd?

I wonder if Obama said he would negotiate with Iran just because he knows he can play the race card?
Obama: "I know. It's cause I'm black, isn't it, Ahmadenijad?"
Ahmadenijad "Huh, No! I mean..."
Although I've never knowingly spoken to a Musselman, I can tell you that they ALL hate him, because he is an apostate.
Don't forget, he spent several years being schooled in a macaca.

Gotta love the logic underlying such statements: "If you don't do exactly what I think you should do, that proves you're a tool with no free will."
But, Malcom X is his father!!!!11!!

Al Qeada = the rest of the world?
What?
Ladies and gentlemen, the right wing.
Ralph Nader was the first Arab to call Obama an Uncle Tom. They are just following the President of the Arabs.
I'm insulted. Ralph Nader is not my president. I'd trade him for Jesse Jackson, straight up.
One, President-elect Obama should call Zawahiri a "flea-bitten camel jockey", and two, where's Osama?
This should start a conversation about which non-African civilization first got involved in the trade in African slaves.
However, the conclusions would not be pleasing to the powers that be.
Ah, Ayman Al-Zawahiri! The world's most underappreciated Russian agent of influence!

Let me introduce you to Obama Voters:

Hasn't Al-Qaeda heard of Bill Ayers? Don't they know about the "real" Barack Obama?
Send Hannity over there to teach these boys about the use of crappy hyperbole.
I support your idea to send Hannity over there, as long as we don't have to bring him back.
