Is there some some kind of rule against Reason editors wearing ties? Just askin'; I always try to dress up (or down) to match the other people in the room.
The thing about ties is that they're bullshit. Fucking symbolic leashes, they are.
Ties suck. I avoid them whenever possible, which isn't often because I have to wear one Mon-Thurs.
I stopped wearing ties when my neck got fatter but my arms stayed the same length.
I'm still waiting for the Big Turtleneck Comeback.
When I realized my $30 tie was little more than a bib for my $20 shirt, I decided that was really stupid and stopped wearing them except when absolutely necessary (weddings, funrals and the like)
i don't mind ties
Good interview.
I like ties fine; just didn't want to hide the purple shirt.
Episiarch, is Friday hawaiian shirt day?

I wish; I could dress like Magnum and that would be sweet. No, I just don't have to wear a tie on Fridays--but no jeans!
ARRGGHH

What about the Fonz on reason.tv? I've seen him on several occasions still wearing that awesome leather jacket.
The Fonz doesn't dress up or down for nobody!
For me, every work day is Hawaiian shirt day. So am I gay guy or a big fat party animal? Discuss.
Are you a cartoon character who sells sugary fruit drinks?
You could be a private investigator who drives the Ferrari and lives in the guest house of a famous but never seen writer, with said house being overseen by some English dude with Dobermans named Apollo and Zeus.
But I doubt you're that cool.
Nice purple shirt.
Now where's the "Red Eye" footage?
The thing about ties is very libertarian. Wearing a tie because you have too is very oppressive. It's literally a noose around your neck. Wearing a tie because you want to dress up and look good is enjoyable. You look good, you feel good, and every girl's crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man.
Matt, you came across as knowledgeable and well-balanced. Good job.
Wow, sometimes the reactions to posts are so mind-bogglingly stupid that you have to wonder about libertarians. Such an intelligent magazine--such a doltish readership!
Drink!
No ties, and the top three buttons are just for display. Can't go out in public without displaying the magnificent chest rug.

Take it easy there, Shortcake.

Or that gay.
BTW, good segment, Matt.

I've read that they're phallic symbols.
I've read that they're phallic symbols.
As in: "That's right ladies, I have a red and yellow striped penis."?
I like popcorn
