New Paltz? Where the hell is New Paltz?
*googling*
Oh, a little too far down state for my liking.
Well, good luck Radley. I hope a few other-than-libertarian folks show up too. Actually I'm stoked just because New Paltz College Libertarians exist at all.
ahhh, i was fooled for a second that New York meant THE city. You tease!
New Paltz is 2+ hours away, so that aint happening for me.
Dude, while you're there, get a chance to go up to Mohonk preserve. Even if it's just driving your car up to the Hotel and walking out to the edge of Skytop. Its a really nice spot. One of my favorites actually. I used to climb there a bit.

I think they charge like $8 just to park up there (the privateering bastards!), but it's worth it.
Hope we'll see a video of it up at reason.tv.
(On other news, William Buckley died today.)
In other news...
(Has H&R ever considered an edit feature?)
More importantly, Myron Cope died today...
New Patlz is 75 miles north of the city. It had a LOT of hippies in the 70s and 80s, not so many now. I'm blown away that there are actually libertarians up there.
The Main Street Bistro has some great food and the headshops on Main Street have a great selection. Rivendell winery a few miles outside of town has a few tasty wines.
Go Pi Alpha Nu!!!
It makes sense, I think the student government at new paltz actually started a milita a few years back... pretty cool idea, they also video taped the cops.
