…and anyone else awake at 3am EST: I'll be making an appearance on FNC's Red Eye tonight. I don't know what we're discussing, but I assume there will be at least one hot teacher who became excessively intimate with her students and one News-of-the-Weird-type-story about interspecies bonding.

Dont forget: alcoholics, the unemployable, angry loners.

  2. Reinmoose   18 years ago

    Kerry Howley -
I may just be up watching the Australian Open, which I do believe airs at 3:30am on ESPN2.

  3. Peter   18 years ago

I think my 7th grade year would have benefited from the type of "sexual assault" often told of in those stories.

And if there is talk of interspecies bonding, we can only hope for a segment on the fierce and dreaded HUMANZEE!

  4. GILMORE   18 years ago

I tried watching Red Eye once, kerry, only to enjoy a few moments of your snarky hotness... but i could not abide that dude. Whoever he is. The host. There's something about the coke-addled level of 'zip' he tries to give everything that makes the whole program insufferable. I am pretty sure his personality stems entirely from repression of a few homosexual dalliances he had while drunk in college.

tReason magazine, cannibalizing the Libertarian "movement" by trying to throw the Paleos, and RP, under the bus. You guys are classy!

    From Ron Paul:

    Et tu, Reason? Et tu?

  6. Jeff P   18 years ago

I watch Red Eye when I work overnights, and always feel 8 kinds of dumber for having watched it.

  7. Taktix?   18 years ago

Kerry, I'll be watching in spirit; the spirit of the days when I could do all-night CIV marathons and without repercussions...

    Now it'll be TIVO'ed.

  8. Bingo   18 years ago

    Are robots considered inter-species?

  9. Kerry Howley   18 years ago

And a story about robots! I meant the stories where a lioness adopts a chicken or something.

  10. de stijl   18 years ago

Does anyone know why the FOX in FOX News is all caps? I'm curious if there's any rhyme or reason to it.

  11. Chris\'s emesis   18 years ago

Chris, we're all Cosmopolitans now. Since you're still an ignorant paleo, let me enunciate it for you: we're for public schools, so long as they teach evolution without ID, we're for government regulated marriage if it is between gay multi-racial people with the option of goatsecx, and we love everybody except for Ron Paul because he's a racist who wants to deliver babies instead of aborting them.

  12. sixstring   18 years ago

Superglue is best for interspecies bonding. Raucously funny to fix a chihuahua to the nose of fox.

  13. Bingo   18 years ago

Holy crap, stories about robots and Kerry on Red-eye? Somebody hold me...

Fun fact: the goatsecx guy is wearing a wedding band.

  14. Jamie Kelly   18 years ago

    de stijl,
Do you have Homer toilet paper too?
Dude, got serious Simpsoys on the brain today.

  15. Nutter   18 years ago

Looking around for a good interspecies bonding story I found this shocker that shows that it is time to open a whole new front in the WOD.
On the subject of interspecies lovin' maybe someone could whip up some tentacle hentai involving a Kochtopus and a few Reasonoids.

  16. Stevo Darkly   18 years ago

I've said it before: Red Eye is growing on me. I'm a little short on sleep right now, but if I'm up then (very possible, if not entirely pedictable due to my hopelessly screwed up sleeping habits) I will certainly watch it.

I also like the way host Greg Gutfeld liekns people to inanimate objects and then describes what he'd do to them; e.g.: says "[NAME], if you were a tub of popcorn, I'd pour buttery oil over you and nibble you in a darkened theater." I'm trying to work these Gutfeldisms into my everyday conversations. Like in staff meetings.

  17. Stevo   18 years ago

    "liekns" = "likens"

    Preview is for the WEAK!

  18. Taktix?   18 years ago

What happened Stevo, you lose a bet?

  19. Peter   18 years ago

I know that was a reference to inter-species companionship, but one thing leads to another ... and I've always had a morbid fascination with the legend of the elusive Humanzee. Both grotesque and intriguing in its impenetrable possibilities. Indeed, if ever such a creature came to fruition by means of Human ingenuity, it might finally give a glimpse of an answer to Yeats's prophetic question, "What rough beast ..."

Also, would it, like other Chimps throw its shit, or choose to take the high road of its Human ancestors.

  20. de stijl   18 years ago

    Jamie Kelly,

With the set-ups we've been given today, only a fool would not pull the trigger.

Oh, and I call the big one "Bitey."

  21. Jman   18 years ago

College student on break so I'll be watching. Plus Kerry is pretty hot 😮

  22. T   18 years ago

Fun fact: the goatsecx guy is wearing a wedding band.

The fact that anyone looked at it long enough to notice is disturbing me greatly.

  23. Mike Laursen   18 years ago

tReason magazine, cannibalizing the Libertarian "movement" by trying to throw the Paleos, and RP, under the bus. You guys are classy!

Not even an attempt to segue from the thread topic? Not even, "You know who else is on TV? Ron Paul..."

  24. Stevo Darkly   18 years ago

What happened Stevo, you lose a bet?

Ha ha! No, I sincerely am kinda digging Red Eye.

I wish that the ReasonMagazine site on YouTube would put up more clips of Kerry's appearances. They haven't done that for a while. Ahem.

Or maybe, "Say, who do you think is the hottest, sharpest and most charismatic libertarian appearing on TV these days: Kerry Howley or Ron Paul? BTW, speaking of Ron Paul ..."

    Kerry Howley | January 15, 2008, 2:58pm | #

Wait, Kerry Howley reads the comments section? And she hasn't fled Reason in horror? She's either a very strong person or a very bad one...

  27. John   18 years ago

She seems to crimethink and I hear she shows up at Reason events to. I can't beleive she doesn't keep a lawyer on retainer ready to obtain restraining orders at a moments notice.

  28. The English Language   18 years ago

    John, you're hurting me.

  29. VM   18 years ago

    John, do go on.
    [keed keed]

  30. The English Language   18 years ago

VM, I'll be in your bunk.

    Missy.

  31. Greg N.   18 years ago

Have fun on TV! I'll DVR it.

  32. Guy Montag   18 years ago

Great comments on the Aussie party guy story! Heard about that on Opie & Anthony yesterday. Also, I liked the way you were able to plug your next 'blog post (above).
