Did Morgan Spurlock Find Osama?
The PR for his new movie implies that he did, or at least that he found something.
Much as the little twit annoys me (I once cyber-stalked him for about a month), he is a terrific showman and makes a pretty good movie, though the message his films convey tends to be silly, dishonest moral panic.
But I might actually go to the theater to see this one.

Osama bin Laden has been found.
He's manning a phone bank in a back room in an undisclosed location for Ron Paul for President.
Bin Laden ends each pitch for "his guy Ron" with "Remember Ron Paul will bring US Troops out of the Middle East... Praise be to Allah!"
So Spurlock got a lead on Bin Laden, but decided that bringing justice to the worst criminal in American history and collecting a $50 million dollar reward was not as satisfying as being a poor man's Michael Moore?
They meant that he went out and bought a copy of Monty Python's "Holy Grail"
You're trying too hard, Dondero.
"Remember Ron Paul will bring US Troops out of the Middle East... Praise be to Allah!"
Praise be!

Dondero gets a lobotomy!
Dondero gets a lobotomy!
I agree with Abdul. Dondero? Uh, not so much...
Let's see--a shameless self-promoter makes outrageous claims. Wow, it must be true. Plus, Abdul is right--50 mil and the fame of dropping a dime on Osama would be too much for anybody to pass up.
Eric Dondero, I'd like you to meet my friend Self Parody. Self, Eric.
So?
Does Osama manage to eat McDonald's three times a day for a month, or what?
Hey, I'm not the guy who blamed my own country for the attacks of 9/11.
Hey, I'm not the guy who blamed my own country for the attacks of 9/11.
What country is that? What planet is it on? Aren't you due back at the home?
"Supersize Me," was an effective film based on a retarded premise. But, so was Robocop.
I actually liked his show "30 Days." Mainly because he was a minimal presence. The episode on outsourcing where he sent a downsized tech worker to India to work at a call center was was one of the better pro-globalization pieces I've seen.
joe,
Does Osama manage to eat McDonald's three times a day for a month, or what?
Yes. And then he issues a fatwa on deliciousness.
Eh, I thought Supersize Me was pretty funny.
Eric, you have reached the point where you are either:
a) Intentionally being absurd in order to make some point.
b) Being absurd to amuse yourself
c) Being parodied. In that case, it should bother you that no one can tell the difference.
d) Are suffering some sort of breakdown.
I have no idea which it is.
Let's see--a shameless self-promoter makes outrageous claims.
But isn't that what we expect from Dondero?
e) All of the above.
Yes. And then he issues a fatwa on deliciousness.
Spurlock aims to take the fat out of fatwa.
f) Smoking some really good shit and not handling it very well.
That does it! I have a proposition - I'll donate $500 to Ron Paul if anyone can kick Dondero in the nuts and post it on YouTube!
Do I have any takers? Anyone else want to sweeten the pot?
f) Smoking some really good shit and not handling it very well.
Dondi better not let his master, Lord Giuliani, get wind of this.
He'll be in a Central American gulag in no time...
I have no idea which it is.
I'll take door d), Captain.
Does Osama manage to eat McDonald's three times a day for a month, or what?
He gets sick half-way through, and then Michael Moore takes him to Gitmo for free healthcare.
I'll donate $500 to Ron Paul if anyone can kick Dondero in the nuts and post it on YouTube!
Does he actually have nuts? I thought the Tijuana hookers got a little feisty when he couldn't pay up.
Does he actually have nuts? I thought the Tijuana hookers got a little feisty when he couldn't pay up.
You're right, it's a dumb idea that popped into my head before the coffee kicked. I withdraw the offer.
Not that it wouldn't have been funny as hell!
He gets sick half-way through, and then Michael Moore takes him to Gitmo for free healthcare.
That's so crazy it just might work!
This one's priceless. Ron Paul just got busted over at Politico.com this morning. Worst misstep yet for the Paul campaign.
Did they not think anyone outside of South Carolina would notice?
Now Ron Paul is not only dishonest and a hypocrite, but running a shitty campaign, as well. My gosh, what a stupid mistake.
Jonathan Martin's piece at http://www.politico.com
If that's the "worst misstep yet," then Paul's doing pretty damned well.
I finally gave in and followed a link DOOOONNNNDDDERRROOO!!! posted.
I quickly realized why I don't follow them.
This story is irrelevant, pointless, and really illustrates just how damn scared the establishment is of Ron Paul.
There are no lies on the mailer, and although it is true he downplays his opposition to the Iraq war, one must remember context, namely that he's running for President of the United States!
Hrrm,
I too followed Donderooo's link. Hrrm, a political mailer, targeted at military veterans, presumably sent to addresses culled from the VA, mentions that Ron Paul is against advancing the violence in the Middle East to another country and willing to stand up for the health services of veterans once they get home.
Yawn. If that is a misstep then the other contenders have already stepped off the cliff.
Hehehehehehehehe
For those of you loath to follow a DONDEERRROOOOO link, this is the Paul campaign's "stupid mistake": They sent out campaign literature that didn't mention Ron Paul opposed the war in Iraq.
Yeah I don't know how he'll live down that bit of dishonesty HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA
Worse than that, the mailing implies that Paul's military service, opposition to war with Iran, and record of support for Veterans benefits, makes him a supporter of our military and strong on national defense!
BWAAAA HA HA HA HA
ROFLMELAOASM!!!!!
I hear Ron Paul's travel coordinator is a hell of a lot better this time around, though.
Pig Mannix,
The youtube Dondero nut buster idea was classic. Sorry you have withdrawn the offer. I'm not arrogant enough to declare anyone a threadwinner, but I'd *nominate* that one.
Dondero, considering how dishonest and self-delusional you are any insult coming from you must be warn by Paul as a badge of honor.
Pig Mannix
Look man, considering all the asinine and/or statements Donderoooooo has made and the responses that have repudiated his nonsense he has been metaphorically kicked in the nuts over and over.
You owe the Ron Paul campaign at least some of that $500.
C'm'on man, pay up. đŸ™‚
