and my accidental archfoe James Kirchick.

I wonder what Weigel's intentional archfoe would look like?

  6. Urkobold?   18 years ago

THE URKOBOLD FINDS WARREN'S CONSTANT HARPING ON THE LOBSTER GIRL TO BE COMPLETELY APPROPRIATE AND, FRANKLY, REFRESHING LIKE A FRESCA AND AWARDS HIM. . .

    A COOKIE!

UM, THE URKOBOLD SEEMS TO BE SHORT. HIGHNUMBER, GIVE WARREN YOUR COOKIE.

  7. highnumber   18 years ago

I hate it when I get those dam little crawly EarWeigels inside my ears.

    [shudders involuntarily]

Wasn't there a movie where they tortured the guy by putting EarWeigels in his ears?

  11. The Wine Commonsewer?   18 years ago

    M&M's from DAR........

I told you they were smart pills and apparently you have gotten smarter already, thus realizing that they are in fact rabbit pellets.

Weigel took a long time explaining why we should ignore Iran's attacks on American troops in Iraq....it had something to do with the Rome spending lots of money killing Germans 2000 years ago.

Anyway, kidding aside, i would like it if Weigel would articulate this a bit more clearly.

How do we stop Iran from attacking American troops in Iraq?

In the podcast i kept expecting him say "Leave Iraq so there is nothing for Iran to attack" but he never did and i really am wondering if he just didn't articulate that view very well or if there is something else there he was talking about.

I was pointing out that overreacting and responding to every pesky external enemy with brutal force was the downfall of every empire. Phrased like that it's a bit more succinct.

No, you're right, that would have been a good point to make more bluntly. I sort of danced around with it with my allegories.

Thanks for the constructive criticism. Unless they fire me I'm doing this every 4 weeks, more if they need someone to sub in.

We don't need to. We need to stop Saudi Arabia from attacking American troops in Iraq.
