    F'ing BRILLIANT IDEA!!

Wonder if anyone has jumped on the Frankenstien idea yet??

    *ponders*

    That is a great idea.

I remember reading Stoker's Dracula as a teen and finding the characters so exhaustingly boring that I was rooting for the Count By the end.

  3. phocion   21 years ago

Kerry would be worse than Dracula. And why does Dracula hate America?

This is a great idea. Just think though, thanks to Hollywood, the publishing industry and their paid whores in Congress, this kind of thread discussion is illegal to do for any work that is not in the public domain. Since copyrights are essentially endless now, we will never be able to legally have such a blog and discussion on say Slaughterhouse Five or Absolum Absolum. Art needs to be a part of the public domain sooner rather than later.

I thought that fictitious blogs already existed...

mk, you should read Fred Saberhagen's The Dracula Tape, which retells the Dracula story from the perspective of the Count. He's not such a bad guy, it turns out 🙂

we will never be able to legally have such a blog and discussion on say... Absolum Absolum.

And you say that like it's a bad thing? 😉

So is Ulysses in the public domain yet?
