CPAC Blogging: Coulter Edition
I stroll into the convention hall and catch Ann Coulter fielding questions with special guest star Matt Drudge. I half expect them to start belting out "Bye Bye Bye" with synchronized dance accompaniment, because the room is packed to overflowing with college republicans who're absolutely roaring. As Drudge comes onstage, there's a pulsating techno-ish soundtrack. The questions and answers were equally unmemorable, but the form is truly bizarre—a scene from a parallel universe in which Vince McMahon started the World Wonk Federation.
I actually thought this was reserved for rockstar Coulter, but they're using similar music to introduce a panel on Social Security. Maybe they're preparing to launch a "Republicanism, Wow!" campaign.

Techno music? Wild cheers from drunk audience? Snappy one liners? I KNEW that adam's apple was too big.
"..., because the room is packed to overflowing with college republicans who're absolutely roaring. As Drudge comes onstage, there's a pulsating techno-ish soundtrack."
Was anyone actually holding up a cigarette lighter?
Where did he say they were drunk?
Anyone ask Ann about her brilliant discovery that Canada sent troops to Vietnam?
Doug, on second view, I realize "absolutely roaring" may have an alternate reading.
