Kerry as Bush?
So Kerry's the one saying things like (slight paraphrase) "it's against the law to hire workers illegally in this country"? Way to flip the narratives…

Thanks for noticing that, Julian. I noted to my friends that if Bush had said that, we'd never hear the end of it.
Yeah, I caught that one too. Nice redundancy, Kerry.
Yup, the press might have a double standard on that one. I wonder if anything will be said of Kerry's mentioning Ms. Cheney as he did. That was beyond stupid.
The laws against hiring illegal workers are hardly being enforced by Bush, so Kerry was just trying to remind Bush of yet another job he's not doing.
And thank God for that. If only Bush did fewer and fewer "jobs," we'd be in good shape.
Oh, and by the way, Wacko, It's Not Your Table.
Micha, if "it" is our country, "it" isn't your table, either.
Micha,
it is "our" country and hence "our" table. do you fancy yourself to be some sort of a world citizen or something like that?
Joe and Zorel,
How do you figure it is "our" country? Does the government collectively own all property, like a nice Soviet paradise? Or do you claim to speak for everyone, like all good majoritarians do, despite the fact that a large portion of property owners disagree with you?
You don't need to be a world citizen to recognize that your claims to have more of a right to live on this land than John Q. Sanchez is complete and utter bullshit. It's not your table.
"So Kerry's the one saying things like (slight paraphrase) "it's against the law to hire workers illegally in this country"?"
"Nice redundancy, Kerry. "
Not redundant. It's against the law to hire the workers (a crime by the employer) is not the same as it being against the law for the workers to be in the country (a crime by the employee). Two different crimes.
Believe it or not, Albania stole a sofa I used to own. No, really! It was my sofa, and Albania stole it.
The only problem is, I don't have an army to go and get it back. So, I guess it's Albania's sofa now, eh?
I think you read my comment completely backwards, Micha. You don't own the country, and you don't have the right to tell anyone they can't sit down at the table.
