Can Dick Cheney Stand?

Laura Bush just gave a shout-out to Dick Cheney, who seemed to be visibly straining even to wave. Has anybody seen this guy standing under his own power lately? Is he like a brontosaurus, only capable of standing in water? Did he lose the use of his legs in some sort of super-secret Halliburton doublecross? Is he just getting lazy?

Then again, given this picture, which appeared today at Lucianne.com with the caption--I shit you not--"Trust little girls. They know," maybe Cheney should stay seated until after Election Day.
