Police Procedure
Eugene, Oregon, police officer Juan Francisco Lara pleaded guilty to three counts of misconduct and one count of public indecency after several women accused him of stalking them and coercing them into sex. Lara also allegedly used police databanks to find information at least one woman and her boyfriend. But during his sentencing hearing Lara denied all the charges he had pleaded guilty to. And he said he had know idea why the neighbors of one woman came to call him "that stalker cop" after seeing his police car parked on their block so often.
