Eat Your Heart Out, Riefenstahl
According to the Associated Press, the FBI has "ordered a formal review of some aspects of the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing investigation, reopening the question of whether Timothy McVeigh may have had more accomplices in the worst domestic terrorist attack in U.S. history." The new review follows the AP's earlier revelation that "FBI agents destroyed evidence and failed to share other information that raised the possibility that a gang of white supremacist bank robbers may have assisted Timothy McVeigh during the Oklahoma City bombing."
The bank robbers called themselves the Aryan Republican Army, and they've long been at the center of the more plausible theories asserting a wider conspiracy behind McVeigh. The Independent ran a fascinating series about the group back in 2001, in which the high point was the description of a propaganda video hosted by the ARA's transvestite ringleader, Pete "Commander Pedro" Langan:
In the recruitment video, a weird Pythonesque assemblage of goose-stepping, semi-humorous drunken rants, spoof commercial breaks and racist invective entitled "The Aryan Republican Army Presents: The Armed Struggle Underground", a masked Commander Pedro shows off his arsenal of weaponry and pulls wads of banknotes out of pickle jars on his desk, all the while declaring war on the "federal whores". "Linger on this continent at your own peril," he says. "We have endeavoured to keep collateral damage and civilian casualties to a minimum… but, as in all wars, some innocents shall suffer. So be it."

That video sounds like a parody of an actual supremacist video.
Made me laugh.
Speaking of Leni Riefenstahl, you noticed her mention at the Oscars?
I mentioned this in another thread, but nobody seemed disturbed by it... so I suppose I'll cease mentioning it.
Of course, now that McVeigh is dead we have lost another possible info source.
[tounge-in-cheek]Is the Aryan Republican Army the Republican Party's militia? Oh no, that would be the United States army.
I would just like to say that Shannon Love appears to be a twit who couldn't be bothered to read the linked AP piece.
That is all.
Shannon-
It would seem the best argument against a broader consipiracy would be the lack of evidence.
Given the incredible amount of corroborating evidence (including testimony and destoryed evidence) it seems quite nescessary to investigate further afield.
At least you used the principle of Occams Razor correctly- a shame you couldn't be bothered to read the linked story.
Speaking of Leni Reifenstall, did anyone else find it a little odd when NYC started aiming searchlights at the sky on the WTC site?
...Terry Nichols, will stand trial in Oklahoma next week on state charges that could carry the death penalty...
Do you suppose if we kill enough people some of those unfortunates will come back to life?
Gabriel,
I responded to your comment earlier, but I'll sum up my comments for you here. I don't think it was a big deal, she was a dead, influential filmmaker, which was the criteria. I think it's at the level of film schools showing "The Birth of a Nation" because of the revolutionary techniques used in that movie. Riefenstahl changed the way movies were made, the Academy was recognizing that and not her abhorrent ideology.
I still want to know the TRUTH about Waco.
Guess I`d better shutup and eat what the
Federal Whores feed me.
"Speaking of Leni Riefenstahl, you noticed her mention at the Oscars?

They mentioned her, and the "dead folks' montage" applause dried up.
"...and pulls wads of banknotes out of pickle jars on his desk..."
Are you sure they didn't tune to Dr. Gene Scott?
I think the best argument against a broader conspiracy lays with Occam's Razor, "Entities should not be multiplied beyond necessity"
Given that: (1) as a technical matter two men could have created and deployed the bomb used in Oklahoma City and (2) known real world conspiracies, both criminal and political, have tried to keep the number of conspirators to the lowest practical number.
It seems unnecessary to look farther afield without some really compelling evidence.
Well, when you have FBI agents flatly refusing to look at evidence, or worse, destroying it, which are what the allegations are, it's pretty difficult to come up with compelling evidence.
Ok, how about killing the people who are guilty of murdering innocent people to show that the killing of innocent people is wrong?
Not In My Name-
No.... But two real pieces of crap will be dead. Makes me smile a little just to write it.
Glad you're happy Matt. Let's go on believing that killing people will show that killing is wrong.
Not In My Name-
>Glad you're happy Matt.
I'm pleased your glad I'm happy.
>believing that killing people will show that killing is wrong
Political discourse reduced to a bumper sticker. Congrats!
"Political discourse reduced to a bumper sticker."
I thought it would be appropriate to your intellect.
