Contrary to yesterday's reports, Arnold Schwarzenegger has not yet officially ruled out a run for governor of California. He now says he'll make a big announcement on Leno next week.

When is California going to fall into the sea? Can we speed up this process?

  2. Steely Dan   22 years ago

California falls into the sea? That'll be the day I go back at Annedale...

  3. Jim   22 years ago

There's got to be some worthless Death Valley property along the fault line, you could buy because one day it'll be watefront when Cali falls into the sea. Of course you could be dead by then anyway so who knows?

"See you at the pah-ty, Davis!"

"Remember when I said I would kill you last?

    I lied."

    🙂

    So who knows, eh?

I hope he does run, at least at the end of Davis's term.

If he declines, can it be that the Austrian Oak is pussy-whipped?

    Jim,

I think you mean Arizona Bay.

  6. James Merritt   22 years ago

If he gets everyone watching Leno to announce that he is stepping aside to better the chances of Dick Riordan, both men will have lost whatever chance they had to get MY vote. At that point, the Libertrian candidates will be infinitely more interesting. So let's hope the big buildup isn't just a cruel tease. I will say that Arnold's choice of venue seems noteworthy. When he was on Leno last, Jay introduced him as the "next governor of California."

  7. Madog   22 years ago

Maybe he's planning on skipping the whole election thing and declaring himself Emperor of the United States and Protector of Mexico. It's not like it's never been done before in California.

  8. Mike   22 years ago

But that's okay. He's a good robot now.

  9. quaker120   22 years ago

God, this gets dumber by the day. I'm so glad to be a NYer.

    Sez Arnold, "I'll be back..."

  11. Sean   22 years ago

If you're right Madog, I hope he gives out those royal tax certificates like Joshua did. Hell, I'd go out to Cali and drop 50 bucks for one of those (then immediately drive to Vegas so I could smoke in a bar).

Looks like Larry Flynt has tossed his hat into the ring:

I demand for the sake of keeping with Hit and Run posting guidelines that the title of this post be immediately changed to "He'll be Back?" "He Might be Back." or "Will you be Back, Really? Did You Mean It?" or some such.

Only "At that point, the Libertrian candidates will be infinitely more interesting," Jim?

I thought as a Libertarian, you'd find LP candidates infinitely more interesting at any time.

OK, JIM Merritt, you've got a (long) point.
