Australian Prime Minister John Howard has backed the limited use of marijuana for medical purposes, conditionally. "Only where there is no mainstream treatment available," and only if it isn?t smoked, he told The West Australian newspaper. "If it?s dispensed in some way, tablet or spray—I would give it in-principle support."
