Brickbat: Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent

The California' Supreme court's ethics advisory committee has recommended that it ban judges from membership in the Boy Scouts because the group does not allow homosexuals to serve as troop leaders. California judges are banned from membership in groups that discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation. That ban exempts nonprofit youth organizations such as the Boy Scouts, but judges are required to reveal any connections to the Boy Scouts in cases involving gay rights.

    "Are you, or have you ever been, a tenderfoot?"

  • Swiss Servator, Befehl!||

    I...I...have a merit badge or two....

    *runs sobbing from the room*

  • UnCivilServant||

    The kids are probably better off without California Judges nearby. They're almost as bad as New York Judges in terms of damage to ethics and sanity.

  • Floridian||

    Do they also ban judges according to which church they attend?

  • Floridian||

    Also are the kids in the picture clones of one another?

  • UnCivilServant||

    If so, it's a bad cloning job, one has different color hair.

  • Ted S.||

    Ever heard of dyes?

  • UnCivilServant||

    If you're letting kids that age dye their hair you got bigger problems than cloning.

  • Agammamon||

    Of course its a bad job of cloning. Its always a bad job of cloning. Sheesh, its like you've never seen a movie before.

    The black-haired ones turn evil (because they're soulless clones) and, at first, it seems like the red-haired one will help save us from them. But the plot-twist here is that the red-haired one is actually naturally soulless and even *more* evil and after defeating the others he set's up a reign of terror.

    All clones are 'naturally soulless'. They're clones. At best they might get a timeshare on the donor's soul if he's dead already.

  • Agammamon||

    You don't understand - the clones are soulless. A red-haired clone is DOUBLY SOULLESs!

  • UnCivilServant||

    How can you be doubly devoid of something? Empty is empty.

  • Agammamon||

    Because MAD SCIENCE! and, like, RELIGON! and THINGS MAN WAS NOT MEANT TO MEDDLE IN!

  • UnCivilServant||

    Whose turn was it to give you your meds? Your caplock delusions have come back.

  • Agammamon||

    See, the black-haired ones are clones of people. So the clones, not used to not having a soul, can't deal with it and go insane.

    The red-haired one is a clone of a red-head. Not having a soul is his natural state and so he just goes on about his sociopathic business.

  • Floridian||

    I would watch that movie.

  • UnCivilServant||

    Best part is, you only need one actor to make it.

  • Floridian||

    But which one? I vote Liev Schreiber.

    Ignore the one below.

  • Agammamon||

    Eddy Murphy?

  • Rich||

    I think you meant Samuel L. Jackson.

  • Agammamon||

    Samuel L Jackson is known for saying motherfucker a lot.

    Eddy Murphy is known for soliciting cross-dressing hookers. And playing several different roles in the same movie.

  • Floridian||

    Unfortunately it will be mike Myers and become a comedy instead of the horror movie it should.

  • Agammamon||

    Its meta-horror. Its written and cast as a Mike Meyers 'comedy' but the horror comes when you realize that no-one in the cast is actually funny and Meyers is a mindless automaton making fart jokes.

  • Cliché Bandit||

    Guys it is Sam Rockwell, This movie was already made (and air bad). It is called Moon.

  • UnCivilServant||

    It is california, if they attend church, they're banned from judgeship. You can't have a moral framework and be on the bench in that state.

  • Doctor Whom||

    Yeah, 'cause attending church and having a moral framework have proved to be so closely intertwined.

  • Floridian||

    That is one if the times my parents changed churches. The pastor was banging his secretary and diverting church funds. I was amazed even as a child at the people who made excuses for the scum bag, but I guess forgiveness is a fundamental part of Christianity.

  • UnCivilServant||

    However, there is a higher correlation, and any chance that there might be one must be avoided.

  • Floridian||

    But which one? I vote Liev Schreiber.

  • Agammamon||

    The church of Live Schreiber, Holy Sabretooth.

  • Floridian||

    I would go to that church.

  • Cliché Bandit||

    SAM ROCKWELL!!!

    See above

    at first I thought I was the guy who stayed on the ship and got eaten, now I think I am the guy that goes to the surface and dies

  • RishJoMo||

    Sometimes man you jsut have to roll with it, thats all.

    www.GoAnon.tk

  • Mickey Rat||

    See "Stacking the Deck".

  • sarcasmic||

    That picture is so gay.

  • Rich||

    "Be Prepared."

  • Notorious G.K.C.||

    The progressive Enemies' List is more interesting than Richard Nixon's. Check it out:

    The Boy Scouts
    The Little Sisters of the Poor
    A Mennonite couple who owns a small business
    A T-shirt maker
    Bakers

    "Know your enemy, Comrades! They may *look* harmless, but they are all antisocial elements who must be crushed!"

  • Zombie Jimbo||

    Kulaks one and all.

  • ||

    No, bourgeoisie producers like the Mennonite couple, the T-shirt maker, and the bakers are probably wreckers.
