White House Shooter Angry Over Marijuana Policy, Say Prosecutors

Anger over federal marijuana policy inspired an Idaho man to shoot at the White House in 2011, prosecutors say in a court document obtained by the AP. Well, that and his belief that President Obama is the Antichrist.

The president and first lady Michelle Obama were in San Diego when 21-year-old Oscar Ramiro Ortega-Hernandez allegedly drove up to the White House and opened fire through the passenger-side window, using a Romanian-made Cugir SA semiautomatic rifle equipped with a telescopic sight.

His goal “was to punish and kill the president, who he believed was the head of a government that was oppressing its citizens in various ways, such as by continuing to criminalize the use of marijuana,” prosecutors say.

Unfortunately, he was right about the POTUS being part of the drug problem instead of the solution even though his desperate solution was just as wrong. This should be a wake-up call. If the feds don't begin to listen to the will of American people on these issues there will be more desperate and violent actions like this I guarantee.
