Colorado County Commissioners Vote to Ban Retail Marijuana Stores in Unincorporated Areas
El Paso County Commissioners Tuesday voted 4-1 in favor of banning retail marijuana stores and cultivation of recreational marijuana in unincorporated areas of the county, effective March 1. The ban also includes marijuana testing facilities and marijuana product manufacturing facilities. Commissioners utlized the local opt-out included in Colorado's Amendment 64, which allows possession and use of small amounts of recreational marijuana.
