In an indication the compromise over the longer day did little to appease teachers, the Chicago Teachers Union House of Delegates Wednesday gave their president the OK to issue a 10-day walkout notice at any time.
“It says a lot about how our members feel and where they are right now,” said CTU president Karen Lewis. “They feel totally disrespected by how (the longer day) has been rolled out.”
