American Hostage murdered in Gaza, hundreds more still in Captivity, why aren’t the 82d, 101st Airborne, 2d Marine Divisions (I’d keep the 1st and 3rd as reserve)
in Gaza fucking shit up?)OK more like fucking rubble up)
Oh yeah, they’re tied up doing “Diversity” Training(when I was in “Diversity” meant the enemy got killed with Artillery, Armor, Air, and Infantry)
Would love to see what an FOIA would find on Representatives Mulla Ill-hand Omar, Priapism Slap-a-Jap, and Raheem the Bad Dream Jefferson’s cell phones
Frank
There are, of course, not hundreds of American hostages in Gaza.
But You canT expect a Moron like frank who can't Even get Basic english spelling, Capitalization,
sentence structure, and )Punctuation) correct!? to be Correct on these Things.
So how many are there?
https://www.ajc.org/news/meet-the-seven-american-hostages-still-held-by-hamas
This is the kind of innumerate, uninformed moron who supports Trump.
How many is acceptable?
Only took one Floyd George
For the Reagan campaign, 52 was an acceptable number to win an election. (And don't ask about acceptable numbers of victims for suicide bombers in Beirut.)
“Those big strong Republican Presidential candidates who want to get so tough with Iran turned chicken before the Iowa farmers last week.” New York Times, 1/8/80 The truth is no one had a good solution to the hostage crisis.
As has been pointed out elsewhere, Carter sacrificed his political career for the sake of those 52 lives. I don’t know if the Reagan people meddled with Iran during the campaign. My reading of it at the time was that Iran coughed up the hostages on Inauguration Day because 1) they greatly preferred Reagan to Carter — proof of which we saw later on —- and not being familiar with our Constitutional system, were not sure that Reagan would be actually installed until 1/20/81, and 2) they were afraid Reagan would bomb the hell out of them if they didn’t free them. Of course if #2 happened, we would have had 52 dead hostages.
Iran scared of a Reagan administration that promptly sold them weapons despite their support for terrorism?
Yes, my guesses were contradictory. I should have said “or” instead of “and”. #1 turned out to be more correct. Interestingly Carter tried to negotiate release of the hostages but got nowhere.
Reagan was gracious in that he let Carter fly to Weisbaden to meet the hostages just after their release. He went into a room alone with them and said, “You can ask me anything you want and I’ll tell you.” Few Presidents have had that kind of courage.
Jimmuh Cartuh, such a great guy he shot his neighbors Cat for eating Birds. Typical Jimmuh, he used a pellet gun thinking it would just "scare" the Cat, and I think "45" is wrong that the Afghanistan Debacle was the worst day in Amurican Military History, Jimmuh Cartuh's Hostage "Rescue" mission was way worse. And talk about your Erection "Meddling" remember how the weekend before the Erection Jimmuh announced a "Break Through" in the Hostage release negotiations, might have worked if the Ear-Ronians hadn't immediately announced it was Bullshit
Frank
Ok, Cap'n, now it's my turn to be the Grammar Nazi,
""He" went into a room alone with them?"
"He"? Reagan? Carter? I believe that's called an indefinite pronoun, 5 yard penalty, replay First Down. If you mean few POTUS's had Reagan's courage, I agree with you.
Frank
"promptly sold them weapons"
1985 is "promptly"?
Good lord what are you defending now?
https://www.nytimes.com/1991/12/08/world/iran-pipeline-hidden-chapter-special-report-us-said-have-allowed-israel-sell.html
OK, you can quibble that the Reagan administration in 1981 only authorized Israel to resell US equipment to Iran that the US replaced, rather than selling directly; I suppose you could even quibble that they were giving the arms (to Israel who then sold them) rather than selling them.
"you can quibble"
No need, its a Seymour Hersh fiction you just quoted.
Try again.
It's well sourced, unlike all of Bob from Ohio's comments today. But ad hominem away, Bob from Ohio, if you won't bring your own sources.
Here's a couple more links:

Carter had no political career or future to lose.
"greatly preferred Reagan to Carter"
"afraid Reagan would bomb the hell out of them"
Keep your BS straight.
Clearly they could work with Reagan (pre-election deal, arms sales, opposition to Soviet influence) but they could still fear the danger in challenging him with hostages in the same way they did Carter (there was a reason the 1980s saw another peak in fear of nuclear war*).
* for the benefit of Bob from Ohio who might not get it, the reason was Reagan.
"they were afraid Reagan would bomb the hell out of them if they didn’t free them."
You were right
Loved how the Ear-Ronians waited until Ronaldus Maximus had taken the Oath before letting the 727 roll at Terror-Ann International.
And it was 1981, so maybe they had CNN (More likely, talking to a Diplomat in Rome or Paris who had CNN) and had to see the actual Oath happen (Seem to remember it ran a little late, Jimmuh Cartuh staying in the Oval Orifice until "The Help" told him he had to leave)
Frank
Again, though sometimes judges take both of them together, justices take two oaths — a judicial and constitutional oath.
Smith Thompson is a somewhat interesting character, providing insights into constitutional thought in the mid-19th Century.
As cap notes, the most notable thing today involves the foreshadowing of Dobbs. The 5-4 denial of the motion to stay enforcement of Texas law S.B.8 was a moment of judicial negligence of a high order.
Five justices wanted to dispose of Roe and were impatient to do so. They did not even want to follow normal judicial procedures. No Cooper v. Aaron energy about judicial precedent there.
The Court gave a green light to blue states like New York to pass laws allowing suits against gun owners exercising clearly established Second Amendment rights. Unfortunately Democrats are not as shameless as Republicans.
Have you seen your Candidate? Who’s suddenly for “No Tax on Tips”? (you seen what these waitresses make? They make Shit) For the Border Wall? Demented Joes no longer an Anti/Bussing Race-ist? “45”(soon to be “47” in an Oval Orifice near you!) is the most “Plain Speaking” POTUS since Hairy Truman

If you vote for Democrats, you are directly responsible for this scourge.
Hopefully Trump makes this Harris' Willie Horton moment.
Willie Horton? Cums-a-lot probably (Redacted) him too. Not a good move to try and rob an NFL player, Noticed the Perp got shot with his own gun(If the player was White, he’d probably be getting charged)
Frank
The player was white, which is why the "yoot" targeted him. These people hate us. We should hate them back, and liquidate them.
A White NFL Receiver? They should charge the kid with attempted Murder of an Endangered Species
I had already taken a shower before I read this. Now I need another.
Sounds like Hyperhidrosis, theres a treatment for that
Visit San Francisco and you'll need to be power washed.
"They should charge the kid with attempted Murder of an Endangered Species"
A funny comment, why Frank is great.
"The player was white, which is why the “yoot” targeted him. These people hate us. We should hate them back, and liquidate them."
The CNN story linked above does not indicate the race of the juvenile assailant. What is the source of your information that he is one of "these people"?
You know as well as I do that the "assailant" was a jogger.
I'd bet he's a nagger. Nag, Nag, Nag,
Of course, there's no evidence the player was targeted for his race and no connection to Harris.
Come for the bigotry, stay for the idiocy!
Note, our moronic weirdos like Frank and our white supremacists like Aoidized are all in for Trump.
Mute them. Why deal with the aggravation?
They are both so out there they’ve neatly cut themselves off from the larger discussion anyhow.
I voted for the winner in 2016 (and who got millions more votes in 2020) who did you vote for? You are right though, it’s “Out there” to not like a Governor stealing Valor and putting Tampon Dispensers(how about Pez Dispensers?) in boys restrooms
Frank
"who got millions more votes in 2020"
This is the kind of innumerate, uninformed moron who supports Trump. This fool can't even work his space bar or shift key!
2016 Trump 62,984,828
2020 Trump 74,223, 975
11,239,152 more votes
What an important metric.
Always a good idea to hitch your wagon to the 'Frank is making a good point' train.
Wanker douche wakes up; adds nothing.
Response was to math challenged (or ignorant) Queenie.
Touting the significance of popular vote totals which Trump lost in both elections is pretty stupid.
(Oh, Drackman and Bumble. Never mind.)
2016 Trump 62,984,828
2020 Trump 74,223, 975
11,239,152 more votes
An increase of 17.8%
2016 split of Clinton-Trump votes 51.1% - 48.9%
2016 Clinton 65,853,625
2020 Biden 81,284,666
15,431,041 more votes
An increase of 23.4%
2020 split of Biden-Trump votes 52.3% - 47.7%
How many Electrical (OK, H8ers, I know it's "Electoral" but when I was a kid I pronounced it "Electrical" and my parents thought it was cute (and didn't send me to some Quack to get Medicated) I also called the "Worlds Series" the "Worlds Serious" (OK, maybe I was just stupid)
So how many EV did Hillary Rodman get in 2016, Quick Frankie Tip, Common-Law will get lessor (Fewer? less than?)
Frank
Kiss my ass, Frank.
You're the one who introduced the change in Trump's popular vote from 2016 to 2020 as impressive. When it turns out to be distinctly unimpressive you suddenly turn around and talk about the EC.
Mute them? I love the regular "this is what Trump voters 'think' messages that these moronic bigots regularly send. So much mockable fun!
"Hopefully Trump makes this Harris’ Willie Horton moment."
Where is the nexus to Kamala Harris, pray tell?
She fucked the guy, what else?
This conversation was about Harris, not your mother.
So you’re throwing down the “Yo Mama so Ugly” gauntlet? Sure you want to do that?, I went to Pubic Screw-els in Virginia and Alabama, and I’m fluent in Jive
Frank
Didn't that shit get you banned?
She's a Democrat, and the Democrats' soft on crime by black criminals has led to California being the way it is.
Do you think blacks would behave so badly if they were treated the way they were in the pre-1950s South? If a black dared to a lay a finger on a white, he'd be lynched within hours. It worked. When you have a population that is genetically prone to disorder, you must keep your foot on their necks
Muted.
No one gives a fuck-ed
"Do you think blacks would behave so badly if they were treated the way they were in the pre-1950s South? If a black dared to a lay a finger on a white, he’d be lynched within hours. It worked. When you have a population that is genetically prone to disorder, you must keep your foot on their necks"
Is that the era of America's "greatness" that MAGAts want to return to?
I am not a MAGA supporter, nor a Trump supporter, so go ask someone else. I'm a white nationalist.
Lynchings for black crime. And your solution for all the white crime?
All 7 instances a year? Sure.
Go look at a chart of murder rates in recent years. They spiked under Trump and have been steadily declining under Biden/Harris. Why anyone would vote for the guy responsible for the biggest increase in murders in recent memory is totally beyond me.
Edited to add: murder rates increased more in red states than in blue states, so the nonsense that it's somehow a Democratic leadership problem is 100% contrary to what actually happened.
Have a link to your “Chart”? of course not, because it’s up past your asshole. To put a significant dent in the murder rate you’d need marital law in Detroit, Chicago, St. Louis, Atlanta, District of Colored People, San Fran Sissy-co, LA, Portland, Seattle, Nawlins, along with summary executions of the murderers.
Since you give such credence to Charts, heres one that shows Blacks commit Violent Crimes on Asians 20 times more than Asians commit Violent Crimes on Blacks

Whole Woman’s Health v. Jackson, 141 S.Ct. 2949 (decided September 1, 2021): Court denies motion to stay enforcement of Texas law S.B. 8 (allowing bounty hunting against women getting perfectly legal abortions); admits “serious questions” as to Constitutionality of the law but procedurally nobody is in the case who can be stayed; the State does not enforce this law. Roberts, Breyer, and Kagan dissent, arguing that the status quo ante should be preserved so that the question of whether Texas has the power to even pass such a law could be litigated; Breyer, Sotomayor and Kagan add that the law itself causes imminent harm to women who would be exercising a Constitutional right (this was before Dobbs removed that right); in a separate dissent these three call the Court’s order “stunning”: as to “a flagrantly unconstitutional law engineered to evade judicial scrutiny” the majority “buries its head in the sand”; in yet another dissent these three note that the Court is making its decision without full briefing after less than 72 hours.
Divans v. California, 439 U.S. 1367 (decided September 1, 1978): Rehnquist denies stay of murder trial; defendant argued Double Jeopardy, alleging that in earlier trial prosecution deliberately provoked mistrial, but produces no actual evidence of prosecutorial misconduct
General Council on Finance and Administration of United Methodist Church v. Superior Court of California, 439 U.S. 1355 (September 1, 1978): Rehnquist denies stay of California lawsuit against Illinois based church for fraud and securities violations arising out of operation of hospitals and retirement homes; California court’s analysis of long arm jurisdiction was not clearly wrong, this was not an intrareligious dispute so court involvement did not violate First Amendment; and delay in seeking this stay was “inexcusable”
