Countries and parties change over time.
Joe Biden in 1972 was anti-school intergation and pro-life. He couldn't have been nominated now.
He was anti-bussing, which is not quite the same thing as being anti-integration. I don't recall him ever saying he supported segregated schools.
Sure, not de jure segregation, just de facto segregation by virtue of black people not living in white neighborhoods.
