Andrew Jackson aka the guy who did like 100 or more enormously important things that affect us up until this day but in the past decade or so is solely remembered by the general public and media for the Trail of Tears.
"...but cause *one* Trail of Tears..."
(The original joke was *much* dirtier)
By the way, shame on those who recognized which dirty joke I was referring to.
One of the most reliable points concerning right-wingers is their willingness to consider the bright side with respect to all forms of bigots and bigotry.
Carry on, clingers.
And anyway, the Jacksonian Democrats in 1832 were like the ultra-conservative party of today, and the Whigs were like the woke leftists. So Jackson is no great loss.

"...is solely remembered by the general public and media for the Trail of Tears."
Jackson shouldn't be sold short in that manner. He did a lot more bad stuff over the course of his life than just the trail of tears.
I have a Native American friend who, every time she gets a $20 bill, she draws an arrow through Jackson’s head before she passes it on.
Better Americans will remove Jackson from the twenty soon enough.
Maybe conservatives can amuse themselves by crossing an X over Harriet Tubman's face, to demonstrate their revulsion at the thought of a courageous black woman replacing a white male jerk on our currency.
"I killed the bank"...you have to give it to him..taking away power from the stock jobbers, deficit spenders and corrupt banksters was an amazing thing. Central banks are inherently evil and anti-liberty. On the $20, it is an insult to have Jackson or Jefferson on any Fiat currency..both did not support a criminal central bank..which is not allowed in the Constitution anyway..as the great man said in 2008..End the Fed
Josh Blackman has shared the blog post in year 2021 with the title of today in the supreme court history. President Jackson vetoes the bill to recharter the second bank of the united states with the paper writers bill was un consistent with the painting of the portrait.
