Proof Die Hard Is a Christmas Movie
Jake Tapper's annual Christmas poem should settle the debate.
This morning, as is traditional, CNN's Jake Tapper re-upped his annual Christmas poem, a tale that should forever resolve the perpetual debate over whether Die Hard is a Christmas movie.
It begins:
'Twas the night before Christmas
At Nakatomi Tower
When our story of homecoming
Begins with brute power pic.twitter.com/WPxtQY6rmE— Jake Tapper (@jaketapper) December 26, 2017
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a Blessed New Year everyone.

"We're gonna need some more FBI guys, I guess."
-- Dwayne T. Robinson (formerly in charge)
And that was 30+ years ago, back when the FBI still had a good reputation.
The unbroken line of Republican control of the FBI seems likely to change soon, so optimism with respect to progress and a better future seems reasonable.
The movie is about a guy trapped in a building that is being assaulted by thieves as the guy is hoping to be reunited with his family all during Christmas.
That is Home Alone. So... if Home Alone is a Christmas movie (and many think it is) then so is Doe Hard. Home Alone is the PG rated version of the same story.
Die Hard... Christmas movie. Facts.
Doe Hard is a completely different movie. What it's about....I leave to the commenters to make up a description.
Yes, but can it *be* Christmas in California?
Remember that the first verse of Irving Berlin's (Berline's) "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas" is:
The sun is shining, the grass is green
The orange and palm trees sway
There’s never been such a day
In Beverly Hills, L. A.
But it’s December the 24th
And I am longing to be up north….
I’m dreaming of a white Christmas…
Of course, as I write this, it's 60 degrees "where the tree tops glisten" and the NWS has posted flood warnings because of the combination of snowmelt and downpours.
As an aside, Irving Berlin was a Jewish immigrant from Russia, the son of a Cantor.
Thanks, I am using Mobdro and enjoy movies, documentaries, news shows on my phone.
