Madison, a lawyer, made a big mistake. If there were no American Revolution, slavery would have ended in 1833. Its end would have been enforced by a sherriff, not by a catastrophic war.
These lawyers did not want their taxes going from 1% of GDP to 2% of GDP. Those taxes funded expensive military campaigns to protect their properties from the Indians, the nitwit lawyer did not realize. The American Revolution, another huge lawyer mistake. Without the Revolution the US would have also been a less extreme nation, more like Canada.
Another lawyer mistake, 100 times bigger than the American Revolution? Ghandi expelled the British from India. That one caused millions of deaths and permanent empoverishment of a billion people.
Idiots.
