Too bad we can't time travel and undo that disaster.
Well, we could have had Harriet Myers too...
And I still think he's being extorted.
"And I still think he’s being extorted."
That's because you are a ridiculous person.
We will find out soon enough if he was ever a guest of Epstein (who did not kill himself.)
You're going to look back at Roberts as 'the good old days," and relatively soon.
Only Republican appointments get "the treatment."
For what my (non-lawyer's) view is worth, Roberts is an excellent Chief Justice. I might not share his views, but he always makes a good case. He asks thought-provoking questions at oral arguments. Some of his dissents are more convincing than majority opinions. And he understands the importance of at least trying for a non-purely-partisan court, even if that's not a fully reachable goal.
Roberts is a very good Chief. He runs the Court quite well and does try to seek consensus, which is very difficult to do.
I hope Chief Justice Roberts is a productive member of the Obama Court.
All Ivy indoctrinated candidates should be excluded from all branches of government. They are agents of big government tyranny and rent seeking.
The Supreme Court should be moved to Wichita, KS in the middle of the continental US. As you soon become French by moving to France, you soon become acculturated into big government tyranny and rent seeking, when in Washington. This is true no matter how conservative one may start out.
