Damn! You're right! Or at least Wikipedia agrees. Probably confused by The Byrds, who had both a Clark and a Clarke.
A man who officially called himself just "Tom" would be mildly ticked off at seeing people add that "e".

I see it got fixed to “Clark”, finally.
