The irony was that Buck was neither promiscuous nor feeble minded -- she'd been raped at age 17 by a nephew of her foster parents -- who wanted to get rid of her. She was of normal intelligence.
And what people forget is that this was done under Virginia's "Racial Purity" law -- the eugenics movement. The Nazis were not the first people to do this sort of thing...
