Help! We Need a Name for a Series of Short Videos Explaining Free Speech Law
We've got a grant -- we've finished the first video (under 4 minutes) -- but we need a good title for the whole series.
I'm delighted to say that Reason.tv and I are putting together a series of short videos explaining free speech law. (I write the scripts and provide input on the visuals, which are graphical rather than talking-heads; Reason.tv does the visuals and the audio and provides input on the scripts.) We have a grant to do the first 10, and we're done with the first one.
The series is aimed especially at high school and college students, though we think it should be informative for everyone. But the one thing we're missing a catchy title (at most three words). Any suggestions? We'd love to hear them! Please post them below, or, if you prefer, e-mail me at volokh at law.ucla.edu.

Top 10 things progressives don't know
Too many words. And not as accurate as "The Right View."
Movement conservatives can (and should) try their damnedest, but the likelihood that they are going to persuade young Americans to become right-wingers is remote. That ship has sunk.
Three words? How about:
"Look! Free Money!"
Hard to do without knowing the exact style of the content, but...
1) Speak Your Mind
2) Speech Is Freedom (or 'Freedom Is Speech')
3) The War on Words (I know it's 4 words, but I figured I'd throw it in anyways)
4) [Censored] of Speech (Maybe implying that limitations on speech are inherently anti-liberal)
5) Speak Freely
I think these all hit on the same ideas. I may post more if anything else pops into my mind on this slow Friday.
Speaking Freely
On a more serious note:
"Speak Without Fear"
On a less serious note:
"Eugene Volokh Says..."
Back to serious:
"Free Your Speech!"
Mightier than the Sword
What's wrong with "Explaining Free Speech"?
Fire!
"Hate Speech Rules"
"Free Speech Law".
Shouting "Fire!".
It's Mostly Free
Reason/Volokh Synergy
Or if we do a living-constitutionalist interpretation of the term "three words," I'd suggest
"Legalize it, then criticize it - Free Speech in America"
I'm no good with titles. But I do know this. If you don't get Ice-T (@FINALLEVEL on twitter) involved to put some of his music in your videos or his face in your flicks, you're going to be missing a hell of an opportunity. 🙂 🙂 🙂
Freedom of Speech, let 'em take it from me
Next they'll take it from you, then what you gonna do?
Let 'em censor books, let 'em censor art
PMRC, this is where the witch hunt starts
You'll censor what we see, we read, we hear, we learn
The books will burn
You better think it out
We should be able to say anything, our lungs were meant to shout
Say what we feel, yell out what's real
Even though it may not bring mass appeal
Your opinion is yours, my opinion is mine
If you don't like what I'm sayin'? Fine
But don't close it, always keep an open mind
A man who fails to listen is blind
We only got one right left in the world today
Let me have it or throw The Constitution away

What is this??
Is this not America?
This is not China!
This is not Russia!
This is not the place where they brought down the wall, this is America!
We have the right to say what we want to say,
we have the right to do what we want to do,
and what I do in my house, you might not do in your house!
So what I do in my house is my business!
And the simple fact of it all is that we are BONDED by the First Amendment!
We have the freedom of EXPRESSION!
We have the freedom of CHOICE!
And you, Chinese, black, green, purple, Jew,
YOU have the right to listen to whoever you want to, and even the 2 Live Crew!
So all you right-wingers, left-wingers, bigots, Communists,
there IS a place for you in this world!
Because this is the land of the FREE, the home of the BRAVE!
And 2 Live is what we are!
From 2 Live Crew, "Banned in the USA"
That was just the lyrics, here is the video.
If tomorrow all the things were gone I'd worked for all my life
And I had to start again with just my children and my wife
I'd thank my lucky stars to be livin' here today
'Cause the flag still stands for freedom and they can't take that away
And I'm proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free
And I won't forget the men who died, who gave that right to me
And I'd gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land
God bless the USA
Lee Greenwood, "God bless the USA"
Sorry if our notes are too sharp
Sorry if our voice is too raw
Don't make the pen a weapon
And censor our intelligence
Until our thoughts mean nothing at all...
No, we won't be complacent
know it's a rock n roll nation
We sing from the heart
We sing from the heart
The Slants, From the Heart

Everything that you thought you knew about freedom of speech is probably wrong.
"You Don't Say..."
There are lots of clever joking titles. But I actually like your suggestion a lot.
Unabridged!
You can say that! or You can say this!
Catchy for kids or a program manager?

Speak Right!
An implication there is a correct way to speak(with terrible grammar), or perhaps the right to speak.

Bare Naked Ladies
Oh, wait....
No, no, let's work with this. Naked Constitutional Law, narrated by a naked celebrity.
You could really get an audience if you could show this celebrity naked.
"Fuck the Draft".
Alright, alright.
Nice.

Speak your mind!
John Adams (ironically):
None More Sacred (about the press specifically; "But none of the means of information are more sacred, or have been cherished with more tenderness and care by the settlers of America, than the press.")
Benjamin Franklin:
tyranny is erected on its ruins
The strength and vigor of republics
Brandeis:
the bondage of irrational fears
Shakespeare (opensourceshakespeare.org):
giving reins and spurs to my free speech
the power of speech
if my speech offend

a speech of fire
Bible:

Every Idle Word (Matthew)
Other:

Seconding someone else's suggestion:
Free as In Speech
Manner of speech
"Parrhesia and constitutional amnesia"

Let Me Say
Several good suggestions. Best I've seen in the String is:
"Free, as in Speech"
Then, the accompanying series emphasizing Property Rights could be:
"Free, as in Beer!"
Talkin' The Talk
Free Speech Matters
How about "Now hear this, you stupid retards!"

How about:

or

How about "Great Speech"? Like "hate speech" (which seems to be something young people like to talk about).
"Sticks and Stones" Calling into clarity that you shouldn't let words hurt you. Use them to discuss controversial ideas, learn from others, be courageous to speak out, allow your own beliefs to be challenged. You can do all this without resorting to actual malice with sticks and stones.
