Upcoming George Mason University School of Law event on "Snowden, The NSA, and the News Media: Balancing Free Speech and National Security in the Digital Age"
On Thursday February 26, the George Mason University School of Law Students for Liberty chapter (for which I am the faculty adviser) will host an event on "Snowden, the NSA, and the News Media: Balancing Free Speech and National Security in the Digital Age." The speaker will be James McLaughlin, Deputy General Counsel of the Washington Post and prominent First Amendment lawyer.
The event will be at 6 PM, in Hazel Hall, Rm. 221. I will be there to introduce the speaker. On a personal note, Jim was my classmate at Amherst College, and we also intersected at Yale Law School. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of many areas of law, and both college and professional sports.
