National Constitution Center announces major new initiative
The National Constitution Center has just announced a new three-year initiative, sponsored by a $5.5 million grant from the Templeton Foundation, to do educational outreach, to host constitutional debates across the country, and to develop a new constitutional website, with clause-by-clause bipartisan commentary by leading scholars.
The initiative will be overseen by a new Coalition of Freedom Advisory Board, which comprises many top scholars including our own Randy Barnett. I am pleased to co-chair the board, along with co-chairs Lee Otis, Senior Vice President and Faculty Division Director of the Federalist Society; Caroline Fredrickson, President of the American Constitution Society; and Rick Pildes, Sudler Family Professor of Constitutional Law at NYU School of Law. Rick and I discussed the project this morning with National Constitution Center president Jeff Rosen in a podcast, available here.
