RFK Jr.: The Reason Interview
RFK Jr. on libertarianism, Tulsi Gabbard, conspiracy theories, drugs, guns, free speech, and more
"I've always been aligned with libertarians on most issues. I mean, there's tweaks that I have," Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. tells Reason's Nick Gillespie and Zach Weissmueller in a recent interview. "As an environmentalist, I don't think libertarianism works well in the commons, at least in any way that's practical."
When asked who he'd consider for secretary of state, he told Reason, "I love Tulsi Gabbard" because "she understands the importance of disentangling, of unraveling the empire and unraveling the war machine." On banning assault weapons, he said, "I'm not going to take away anybody's guns," but if a bipartisan bill to do so passed Congress, he'd sign it. He also discussed his desire to implement the "corporate death penalty" against any company "whose purpose is to injure the public interest" and responded to accusations that he subscribes to a "conspiracist mindset" for, among other things, portraying 5G and Wi-Fi as dangerous, claiming HIV is not the primary cause of AIDS, and saying chemicals in the drinking water are feminizing young boys.

HOW DARE YOU PLATFORM THIS MAN. He's a Kennedy!
This interview could kill thousands of people from covid misinformation.
Hmmm. Wants to jail the Koch brothers because....
Not really sure about this guy. Probably better than Joe.
He is better than Joe, but that is a low fucking bar. But with Joe you have a "return to norms" and it is "strategic" to vote for him.
Joe has more of an authoritarian streak, but RFK isnt a perfect candidate, so vote Joe or other DNC establishment - Reason
I used that low bar on purpose. Best Democrat or tallest midget. Similar contest.
Amazing! I've been making $85 every hour since i started freelancing over the internet half a year ago... I work from home several hours daily and do basic work i get from this company that i stumbled upon online... I am very happy to share this work opportunity to you... It's definetly the best job i ever had...Check it out here...... http://Www.Easywork7.com
You misspelled "save."
FTFY.
good catch on the proofing!
Interviewing someone is the same as agreeing with everything they say, which makes Reason leftist for interviewing a left-handed leftist leftist.
Poor sarc.
Crawl back under your rock, you worthless drunk pussy.
Nah. Know your enemy better than your friends.
The guy is a Democrat, as predictably in favor of banning nuclear energy as every Republican is superstitiously bent on banning any enjoyable drug--with complete disregard for comparisons or how life-saving the energy or drug might be. Zero Americans have been killed by civilian reactors and LSD combined.
Most republicans don’t give a shit about pot, and many don’t care about a number of other drugs, as long as shitty addict behavior isn’t tolerated.
You’re really still stuck in 1973, aren’t you?
Yeah, it is the Republican governors in the Midwest saying OK to gonja.
Doesn't matter that he's a kennedy, what matters is that he endorses racial discrimination. At the end of the day, he's still a democrat.
-jcr
But RFK Jr. also has an authoritarian streak. He has said he wants to prosecute those who fund "climate deniers" or run businesses that emit too much carbon for "reckless endangerment." He declared the NRA to be a "terror group," suggested to NBC News that, as president, he would "order his Justice Department to investigate the editors and publishers of medical journals for 'lying to the public'"; and reportedly vowed to direct health policy "from the Oval Office" through executive orders.
Sounds exactly like every democrat that desires the White House.
No, I think many other Democrats would rather investigate those who disagree with medical journals.
They're all authoritarian, it's just a matter of whether they're pro- or anti-establishment authoritarian. It's like a skit I remember from National Lampoon's Radio Hour (or maybe it was another radio show) decades ago which had Jane Fonda saying she'd be for all those who tried to put them in jail, and then referred to those who will be put in jail for their opinions by her and her friends.
Editors and publishers of medical journals leap through hoops to declare all enjoyable drugs addictive avatars of Satan, then sit up and beg politicians for monopolies, special licenses, subsidies, grants and cash bonuses eagerly looted for them by Republicans.
Uhhhh cannabis and the tryptamine psychedelics are the only popular drugs-of-abuse that are safe and not habit-forming.
Good luck in your fight with that strawman, though. He looks pretty tough so be careful.
That's a huge weasel word you got in "safe". What exactly is safe? To everyone? And anything can be habit forming to an addict, i.e. those genetically predisposed to addiction. Not much is to everyone else that doesn't wish it to be.
his choice of life partner shows a modicum of good judgment.
Yes it does.
As an environmentalist, I don't think libertarianism works well in the commons
Libertarians are well aware of the tragedy of the commons, it applies to a lot more than just the environment. Maybe if he gave property rights a glance he could discover the same things his grandfather and great-grandfather did. Booze, guns, the IRA, heck even clean air and water. There are markets for all of it.
LET'S BE FAIR! Lookit how perfectly communism improved environmental conditions in the commons in the USSR, Red China, Cuba, and... um... er... Altruria!
Kennedy's ambassador granddad wanted England to surrender to Christian National Socialist Germany and Papal Italy. His uncle thought Hitler would "emerge from the hatred that surrounds him now as one of the most significant figures who ever lived." So the guy has the heredity it takes to get Republicans and the platform it takes to get women to vote his way--rather than for the overtly treasonous Grabber Of Pussy who has lost 3 of his only 4 vote counts.
What fuckup caused the interview to start before the stream at 1 PM? Was it recorded?
Oh, shit! Now I gather from the introductory text that the whole thing was pre-recorded and just embargoed until 1 PM EDT.
why is reason interviewing rfk? this guy is a leftist, communist gun grabber and complete climate change nut case. he is not a serious person.
"he is not a serious person."
Tell that to the oil companies he spent his career suing.
Know your enemy better than your friends.
Can we dismiss this guy as a nut now and move on?
The other looter is as patently a nut. The difference is that this one might be less eager to reenslave women by making them rightsless upon copulation. So this nut is in the running for votes from one-half of 240M voters, has won elections and isn't even an ovious traitor currently under indictment on felony counts. I'd vote against both because I vote for freedom rather than coercion.
A TDS infected fan of mass murder.
His antiwar credentials beat just about every other candidate. That's the key for me. He may be America's best and last chance at unity, and without a figure like Kennedy at the helm, fragmentation is inevitable. I don't really care about his feelings on vaccines. I'm sure if you desire one, you'll be able to get vaccinated if Kennedy should be elected.
"He's anti-war so that's good. Despite it not being rooted in any particular principle, I'd vote for him just based on that."
FFS, have some respect for yourself and others and find a coherent worldview.
Given the choice of candidates we currently have in runup to 2024, which one has the most coherent worldview that you would support?
And this is the type of thing that I am talking about below.
"None of them have 100% coherent ideologies, therefore I'm going to go with the anti-vaxxer, single-payer-promoter, throw-climate-deniers-in-jail candidate if it means no more foreign wars and he says mean things about Covid tyranny!"
That’s really the issue. The guy is riding a wave of populist support based on just a couple of issues that currently resonate with the public. But ignoring the numerous other factors including that the fact the guy is a conspiracy minded nut much of the time who has no issues with governmental authoritarianism to make sure the “right” societal results occur, which includes significant government control of the economy.
"which includes significant government control of the economy."
The cost of the wars the US has launched over the past 20 years is some 10 trillion. Ukraine is hundreds of billions so far. Millions have died violent unnecessary deaths. I'd prefer a president who takes a firm stand against this. They come to the surface every so often, someone like Ron Paul or Kennedy, and I feel we owe them our support.
I'm sorry, I'm not a one issue voter. And I won't vote for authoritarianism here at home in the hopes that a foreign war isn't started.
Good luck finding someone you approve of. Got anyone particular in mind?
"And I won’t vote for authoritarianism here at home"
Sad fact, you'll probably get it no matter who you vote for. That seems to be the direction we're heading for and voting for anyone isn't going to change that. Still, I think Kennedy has what it takes to unite and inspire the nation, and that's probably as much as we can reasonably hope for. Anyone else and we're plunging the nation further into division and cynicism, which will only make an authoritarian future more likely and viable.
Does uniting and inspiring include throwing people in jail or shooting them if they don't believe in the religion of climate change?
No, I wouldn't worry about that were I you. I'm pretty sure you will be able to continue to follow whatever religion you like.
So, are you purposefully missing the point, or are you really not that bright?
Your point is foolish and deserves to be missed. I've read a lot of smears against Kennedy, and you're the first to accuse him of religious intolerance.
"if it means no more foreign wars "
Isn't that the most salient, consequential issue for a president? You'd prefer a candidate who's more willing to go to war as long as he's tight with big pharma?
“None of them have 100% coherent ideologies, therefore I’m going to go with the anti-vaxxer, single-payer-promoter, throw-climate-deniers-in-jail candidate if it means no more foreign wars and he says mean things about Covid tyranny!”
I ask again, which candidate has the "most coherent worldview" that you (or the OP) would support?
where have you been living? "fragmentation is inevitable", no fragmentation has been achieved a long time ago. there is no politician who can unite the country. some of us don't want unity either. why would i unite with a communist enemy that wants to destroy this country?
"there is no politician who can unite the country"
You may be right. Still, of the bunch that are currently running, I think Kennedy has the best chance.
"why would i unite with a communist enemy that wants to destroy this country?"
So you can secretly study him while making plans to defeat him. Why does anyone unite with a communist enemy?
And, the Chinese or others might seize the opportunity with someone like him at the helm.
I think the Chinese and other American rivals would prefer a fractious and feuding America with a healthy appetite for computers and cheap manufactured goods. I see RFK as having the stuff to unite the country, so no.
Gosh Jeffy, how is he less of a nutcase than Biden, or every other democrat?
"how is he less of a nutcase than Biden,"
Biden is and always has been a corporate shill. If you don't understand that, you need to pay more attention. For god's sake, the man has held public office for some 50 years. How much longer do you need before that sinks in?
I did years ago and it's kind of embarrassing more people haven't.
Anyone who has read Reason contributor Petr Beckmann's "The Health Hazards of NOT Going Nuclear" or Sir Fred Hoyle & son's "Commonsense in Nuclear Energy" understands that nuclear energy produces WAY more gigawatt-years per death or injury than anything that makes electricity. That foreign entities can influence useful idiots within US borders to hysterically attack just about anything is a fact wearily familiar to reinsurance companies. So they would rather the tools try to swamp the DOJ with frivolous pettifoggery.
Great choice for an interview. Maybe you could do David Irving next. Then maybe someone from the Flat Earth Society.
Are they polling at 20-30% for the presidency?
How can we ingest this interview w/o a transcript?
Kennedy's portrayal as an anti-vaxxer seems like misdirection. And the outrage has eclipsed far more frightening and consequential points that Kennedy has made.
I'm thinking about his take on the assassination of his father and his uncle. Essentially a government plot to kill a president and senator and cover it up by framing patsies.
Kennedy: "My father and uncle were murdered by government agents and these crimes remain covered up even today."
Reporter: "You're an anti-vaxxer nut case."
The problem isn't that he's anti-vaxer, the problem is that is entire worldview is completely divorced from anything resembling a coherent epistemology. Don't get me wrong - his anti-vax stance is definitely part of that - but it's just one facet of his bad-faith idiocy.
"his anti-vax stance "
He doesn't have an anti-vax stance. You should listen to him explain his stance rather than taking those hostile to him at their word. And if you do listen to him, you will hear him claim that government agents were behind those murders and this will be completely ignored.
But he is fairly anti-vax. The guy can't even bring himself to admit that modern vaccines have no basis for the claim that they cause autism.
The guy's pretty nutty on many issues. And someone who resorts to conspiracy minded concepts as almost a matter of course on any issue should be concerning.
"But he is fairly anti-vax."
As far as I know he's vaccinated. His children are vaccinated. Seems he's actually pro-vax. He's very critical of big pharma and their close relationship with the democrats and the media. I have no problem with that.
"The guy’s pretty nutty on many issues."
Does that include his take on the murder of his father and uncle? What's absolutely nutty to me is not being terrified and outraged by these crimes, but passing them over in silent acceptance, as unworthy of attention, all the while wringing your hands over his feelings on vaccinations.
His take on the murder of his father and uncle? You mean those conspiracy theories to go along with wifi, environmental, vaccine, and all his other conspiracy theories?
I mean, even his concern of "big pharma" (a phrase that's starting to have the same amount of meaning as people screaming "racism!") are conjecture with no actual facts. He simply says, "hey, looks like something sketchy is going on" without much in the way of support. And he does that through many areas of capitalism, that some big bad company is trying to screw the American public. The concerning thing is that his solutions are, ironically, more government control to protect the people.
You can't be a conspiracy theorist, freak out about the collusion of "big pharma" and the government, only to then turn around and explain how government control is the answer. The only way that makes sense is believing that monetary desire of business is the ultimate problem. And I don't remotely agree with that.
As such, I don't want a totalitarian state that still runs a 1984 on me all while stating, "at least we're not at war with Eurasia."
"His take on the murder of his father and uncle? "
Yes, do you agree or disagree? Do you what his take is?
"only to then turn around and explain how government control is the answer."
I think that's unfair. He's spent his entire career suing the government and the corporations for their bad actions. What other candidate can make the same claim?
"And he does that through many areas of capitalism, that some big bad company is trying to screw the American public. "
You'd prefer if he gave them a free pass instead. And also give a free pass to those responsible for the murder of his father and uncle.
"Yes, do you agree or disagree? Do you what his take is?"
I'm not sure what this is asking, but I will try to answer. His belief is that the CIA killed both of them and that Sirhan Sirhan is innocent. This is ridiculous.
"I think that’s unfair. He’s spent his entire career suing the government and the corporations for their bad actions. What other candidate can make the same claim?"
I can't begin to describe how little this inspires me. I know many, many lawyers who have spent time suing private companies and suing the government for not stopping the actions of those private companies and most I wouldn't want to be president. Just because someone litigates the hell out of their preferred cause, doesn't mean anything to me. What it does show, though, is that he has a serious hatred against any business he deems causing environmental issues, and his desire is for the government to take action against it. You have to remember, his suing of the government was not to prevent government authoritarian behavior, but to institute government authoritarian behavior to stop things he didn't like.
"You’d prefer if he gave them a free pass instead. And also give a free pass to those responsible for the murder of his father and uncle."
I said nothing about a free pass. To claim so is a poor and disingenuous reframing of my statement. Rather, I'm not a fan of someone who thinks capitalism in itself is a problem.
And since he doesn't blame Sirhan Sirhan for his father's death, he is giving Sirhan Sirhan a free pass. And the CIA didn't murder JFK. So, no free pass there either.
"His belief is that the CIA killed both of them and that Sirhan Sirhan is innocent. This is ridiculous."
If you have the time and inclination, check out what he says rather than believing press accounts meant to smear and dismiss him. He's not a communist, a socialist, an eco-fascist, an anti-vaxer, a nut or any of the other things you've been told. I've seen a few lengthy interviews with him and he comes across as a decent, intelligent, thoughtful and patient candidate with an animus towards government/corporate collusion.
" You have to remember, his suing of the government was not to prevent government authoritarian behavior, but to institute government authoritarian behavior to stop things he didn’t like. "
He's a lawyer, his job is to persuade a judge or jury of the justice of his client's suit. What more could you ask of him?
"he is giving Sirhan Sirhan a free pass."
Sirhan fired two shots towards his father according to the coroner's report. Both missed. He's spent the past 55 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit. Hardly a free pass.
Sirhan Sirhan has continuously admitted he killed RFK and has apologized many times for it. So yeah.
And it's clear you know much less about RFK Jr than I do. You need to read much more about him rather than listening to a couple snippets from him. He is a communist. He's a rabid environmentalist who agreed with what he was doing, not simply just representing clients.
You are really having to engage in a lot of cognitive dissonance here to keep up support for the guy.
But hey, maybe you're one to actually believe pollution in water turns people gay like RFK Jr. If so, he's your guy.
The coroner's report notes that Sirhan fired two shots in the direction of his father. Both missed. What more do you need to convince you? Or are we going to move on to you smearing the coroner as a communist, eco-fascist or whatever.
I don't think he has rabies. He seems in good health except for his voice.
"You need to read much more about him rather than listening to a couple snippets from him."
What do you recommend? I'd be curious where you got the rabies stuff from.
"But hey, maybe you’re one to actually believe pollution in water turns people gay like RFK Jr. If so, he’s your guy."
You mean endocrine disruptors, I suppose. Yeah it's possible. They've long been linked to a variety of sexual disfunctions from low sperm counts to miscarriages. It's not pollution in the water, either. We're all exposed to these chemicals while in the womb, right from the very start of our lives.
you want a reason to be "ant-vax", read this. educate yourself to reality. the fda is out of control and not to be trusted. the vaccines from 40 years ago are what we're getting today. i did not take the mrna wu-flu shot, but i've received all other real vaccines. i would not take any newly developed vaccines any more. the risks from untested drugs is just too high.
https://alexberenson.substack.com/p/whats-the-point-of-developing-new
Eh, Berenson is low on the credibility scale. But you're free to get vaccines or not. I will continue to because vaccination has been a beneficial thing for hundreds of years now.
so you didn't read it. the article documents how a new vaccine in trial now is being pushed through even though people are dying from the drug. that doesn't concern you in any way?
I did read it. It's another of Berenson's analyses that's predicated on vaccines being bad, even though everyone else doesn't find the concern that Berenson does. Classic Berenson.
Sorry, someone who has misrepresented a tremendous amount about vaccines isn't a trustworthy source about vaccines.
the article provides raw data from the fda showing the deaths and the other numbers from the drug trial. you think a new vaccine targeted at young children is ok with those numbers? i'm asking about your conclusions from the data. only an absolute evil idiot would approve a drug with those numbers.
go get your next booster covidiot. he was right about everything covid. everything.
Who's the patsie now?
What kind of bad faith nonsense fails to recognize how libertarian thought is mostly incompatible with the vision the Democratic party has for America?
RFK Jr is not a "Democratic" candidate, he's a spoiler candidate with terrible ideas and he's supported by terrible unprincipled people.
This is why no one takes libertarians seriously. Because you entertain all manner of absolute nonsense under the guise of "hearing both sides". It's embarrassing that you don't have more respect for yourselves.
I think we found our recently-laid-off Twitter trust and safety moderator.
Just invoke the corporate death penalty for corporations Kennedy decides work against the public interest. I hope everyone who is into this guy was listening.
They will forget that part once RFK starts talking about anti-war stuff or ‘Covid tyranny’ stuff.
We have seen with Trump that all sorts of people will wrap themselves in intellectual pretzels justifying horrible and insane ideas if they are emotionally connected with the guy.
RFK Jr.: "We should have single-payer health care!"
Libertarian: "What a nutball! That violates every libertarian principle! Boooooo!"
RFK Jr.: "No more foreign wars!"
Libertarian: "Oh he's so dreamy! Tell me more!"
RFK Jr.: "Oh, and let's have single-payer health care!"
Libertarian: "Wellllllllll, that wouldn't be so bad if we didn't have any more foreign wars, would it?"
I’m guessing your biggest problem with him is that he isn’t pedophile friendly. Since you don’t appear to have much problem with Biden.
RFK Jr.: “We should have single-payer health care!”
Libertarian: “What a nutball! That violates every libertarian principle! Boooooo!”
Again, I ask, which candidate in the runup to the 2024 election would you reluctantly vote for that has the most coherent worldview
Now to be fair, in the video, Biden was the slowest to raise his hand. So one might argue he's the least-soiled corn nugget in a barrel of crap.
"Wellllllllll, that wouldn’t be so bad if we didn’t have any more foreign wars, would it?"
It would be pretty bad for big pharma and the military industrial folks. Otherwise, no. You might be able to scare off the 1% who vote Libertarian by saying the words 'single payer health,' but I think the rest of us are made of stronger stuff.
"I mean, there's tweaks that I have"
Said the spider to the fly.
The EM spectrum is a "common carrier" because it has limited capabilities (bandwidth). The internet does not have that limitation. One can ALWAYS add more information bandwidth by building more wiring/optical cable.
"He also discussed his desire to implement the "corporate death penalty" against any company "whose purpose is to injure the public interest" "
This should raise a red flag with any Libertarian or believer in freedom - so what industry will he inflict the death penalty on? Gun makers, Tobacco Makers, Alcohol Makers? Unhealthy Food Makers? Advocacy groups not in line with the Democrats like FIRE?
"This should raise a red flag with any Libertarian or believer in freedom"
That won't matter. Libertarians are a tiny marginal group, who have yet to play a decisive role in any presidential election. Kennedy's strength, and I've written this before, lies in his ability to attract the 2012 Obama voters who switched to Trump in 2016, and the Trump voters who in 2020 switched to Biden, ie the broad swath of middle America who are not kool-aid swallowing freedom ideologues.

Nick’s segue to the nuclear topic showed he is a pro. Zach Weissmueller can learn from him. He has an interesting take on topics, but interrupted the flow by relating RFKJ to himself. Practically each statement included a reference to the words “I,” “me” or “my” or other displays of his personal opinions, not necessarily of libertarians.
nice enough fella and certainly better than the can of corn we have now but it appears he is the typical dem that wants to tax or control everything. let me shorten this up for ya RFK...i don't need to be governed.
Debunk the Funk with Dr. Wilson
Molecular biologist takes apart RFJ, Jr lies.
Joe Rogan's worst misinformation yet, with RFK Jr.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sugCJNAPF9o
Good job Nick and Zach. Kennedy is practically impossible to pin down on any of his claims, which are generally half-truths (like his opening statement that repeated Russian talking points about negotiations between Ukraine and Russia) or deliberate mis-readings of science (see the entire last 25 minutes of the interview).
One hopes that Reason's audience is skeptical enough to see through the torrent of hogwash.
Oh good, the CIA is here to weigh in.
Wanting to jail people who don't fall into lockstep with the climate issues? Fuck that guy. No libertarian should even consider him for a second.
Dear God, this man is preposterous.
"One of the reasons the British rose up & fought the Battle of Runnymede..." 😀
Pro tip: if you have little conception of history, don't discuss history
Major respect for anyone that can listen to this guy's voice for more than 10 seconds. I know he can't help it, but I just can't do it.
Use of creaky voice across general speech and in singing is termed "vocal fry".
Some evidence exists of vocal fry becoming more common in the speech of young female speakers of American English in the early 21st century,[8] with researcher Ikuko Patricia Yuasa finding that college-age Americans perceived female creaky voice as "hesitant, nonaggressive, and informal but also educated, urban-oriented, and upwardly mobile."[8]
It is subsequently theorized that vocal fry may be a way for women to sound more "authoritative" and credible by using it to emulate the deeper male register.[9][10][11][12] Yuasa[8] further theorizes that because California is at the center of American popular culture and much of the entertainment industry is rooted there, young Americans may unconsciously be using creaky voice more because of the media they consume.
The Hmong language also features a 'creaky' tone as well as other more common tones. (high, mid etc.)
In 1962 when Ted Kennedy decided his first run for office should be for United States Senator (coincidentally, while his brothers were President and Attorney General), his opponent in the Democratic primary said: “The office of United States Senator should be merited, and not inherited,” and said that if his opponent’s name was Edward Moore, not Edward Moore Kennedy, his candidacy “would be a joke”.
if this loon was named Joe Smith instead of Robert F. Kennedy Jr, no one would give him a moment’s notice.
As a libertarian since the mid-90s, I think that RFK Jr. is the best candidate from any party to come along for many years. He knows his stuff on history and science and sounds positively Libertarian on most issues. Half the time in the interview, Misters Gillespie and Weissmueller seemed more intent on changing Mr. Kennedy's views than discovering them. And it was obvious that he knew more about the science regarding vaccinations and COVID-19 than they did. With his knowledge about the military-industrial-pharmaceutical complex and collusion between it and government, and the highjacking of government by it, I would think that the interviewers would have been less antagonistic towards him. I was embarrassed to be libertarian watching the interview. I had to force myself to watch the whole thing.
FYI: "Our World in Data," the source of the final graph shown, apparently demonstrating COVID vaccine efficacy, is heavily funded by Bill Gates.
So? Better privately funded than taxpayer funded.
Obviously you're not familiar with who Mr Gates is and his history in the medical arena.
Obviously you’re not familiar with scientific research. What money buys is research. Money doesn’t buy a specific result. Maybe you should have gone to college and majored in something instead of tinfoil-hat-making. You win "mute" for your stupidity.
How naive are you?
Wow, I'm not a RFKJ supporter or boter, though I like him on a couple things and am glad he's in it to raise some issues, but he danced circles around Gillespie and Zach I love the CDC" Weismueller--I mean, did reason not do an article on how everytime Rochelle Walensky made a statement during covid, the CDC would walk it back a couple days later? It wouldn't have been an issue if they weren't so antagonistic but I guess there's some areas where the DC elitist libertarians won't let opposing information slide.

Kennedy is "MyPillow" crazy.
Bobby Jr. tries and fails to hide his deep authoritarian philosophy.
The exchange with Gillespie about nuclear energy at the 47:00 mark reveals everything you need to know about him. When Kennedy was pushed by Gillespie, his copout response was "we don't need to argue about this". A hard pass on Kennedy.
