Tomorrow Is Repeal Day
Tomorrow is Repeal Day, the 74th anniversary of the end of Prohibition. Booze blogs (and Dewars) encourage you to go out and have a drink in celebration. After all, they point out, people celebrate uniquely American holidays by getting schnockered anyway--why not go ahead and establish an actual booze-oriented bash?
But before tomorrow's revelry, take a minute today to imagine what the world would have been like without repeal. Or spare yourself the trouble of imagining and just watch the video.
