Ferguson Grand Jury Decision Sparks White House Protest
In the hours following the decision not to indict Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson for the fatal shooting of Michael Brown, several hundred protesters gathered at the gates of the North Lawn of the White House. Many protesters were university students who came to vent their anger, gather momentum for future demonstrations, and send a loud message to President Obama. A few were confrontational. But there was no violence, and the police response was restrained.
