Mayor Visits Home on Christmas Eve, Orders Family to Remove Lights (Nanny of the Month 1-14)
Never mind that plenty of foodies say "the law is confusing, ineffective, bad for the environment and can compromise a final dish," California is now forcing chefs and bartenders to wear single-use gloves or utensils when handling food like sushi and fresh fruit.
And how about Chicago? The city has decided to ban vaping in public (for the children!), thus potentially making it a little tougher for smokers to ditch cancer sticks.
But this month the nation's biggest buttinksy is the New Jersey mayor who showed up at at a home on Christmas Eve and ordered the family to remove decorations because one neighbor deemed them offensive.

What if another neighbor X deems the offended neighbor Y offensive? Will the mayor order Y to be removed?
He removed all of the luminaries except for the one in front of the neighbor's house who complained. Nice.
The mayor agreed with the neighbor that luminaries could be seen as offensive. How?
Who cares? It's an excuse to initiate force.
How?
I'm offended by your racist mocking of Native Americans.

Dirty catholic Mexicans put them up at Christmas.
I'm impressed the mayor had time to go down and personally instruct them to remove them.
Considering no SWAT team was used, and no dogs were killed, I consider this whole escapade a win for restraint.
Does the mayor have such authority? Particularly when you've already talked to the pigs and firemen? (I seriously don't know)
How about..."fuck you mayor."
The pigs and firemen answer to the mayor. He's their boss.
What is offensive about candles? Please explain.
Bees may have been enslaved to produce the wax.

They're slightly phallic in shape, and thus little waxy microaggressions.
They didn't kiss the ring of the King, they deserved what they got!
What an asshole.
I like the mayor's response there. It was unfortunate, truly. I'm sure mistakes were made, and you're sorry if anybody was offended.
And a whole street full of children learned that "public property" doesn't actually belong to the "public." Whatever that is.
Thanks for making more little libertarians for us, Mayor Rustin!
How dare they not bow to the minority position! Don't they know this is a democracy?
Is it just me or does New Jersey taken by itself on a map, look like Somalia?
These nanny-bitches are lucky that I ascribe to the non-aggression principle...or I'd punch them in the face!
NotM posts always make me want to cry.
I thought the display must have been Santa Claus taking a leak next to his sleigh. Even if a neighbor taking offense was sufficient cause to order the display removed, who gets offended by something like that?!
