LYRICS
You see me rolling around in a black Mercedes
cruising around town and it's packed with ladies
Gotta keep it going yeah I'm roaming the map
No I never stop until I find something to tap
Awww yeah…
[CHORUS]
Nokia, iPhone, Galaxy 3
Facebook and your search history
Gmail, voicemail, I'm gonna grab it
if it's got an on/off switch, baby, I'll tap it
I'm making a list, checking it twice
it doesn't matter the message or even kind of device
Every pic your daughter sends? We've got it ingrained
Why do you think Anthony Weiner wants back in the game?
Surveilling reporters, don't ever forget it
I got so many AP docs you'd think I'm getting college credit
Yeah we're saving your searches, that's just a reality
"Yes We Can" ain't just a slogan it's our view on legality
[CHORUS]
I'll tell you this, sir, I greatly abhor
your violating the Constitution upon which you swore
and a full investigation is needed and more
You ever Google Justin Bieber pics? I yield back the floor…
Look, this is not a big deal? Why are you having a cow?
Look at all these innocent people we can focus on now?
Who cares about civil "rights?" I mean, do we all really need em?
So you'll oppose the individual mandate? Why do you hate freedom?
Look, with front-facing cameras our intel has grown
Look at the video we've collected from this year alone
This is outrageous, we should be able to use the bathroom freely!
Look just the other, wait, hello? Hi. How'd you get this number? Really?
Nothing is private anyway, we're posting on walls
So what's the big deal if the government is saving your calls?
We share our info with companies, this debate should be chilled
Everybody come quick! A straw man has been killed!
So the next time you're up late and you're surfing your phone
Let me reassure you, girl, that you're not alone
But if you don't think the surveillance state is really ideal
Text yourself about it, let us know how you feel.
[CHORUS]

Start working at home with Google! This is certainly the nicest-work I have ever done . Last Monday I got a new Alfa Romeo from bringing in $7778. I started this 9 months ago and practically straight away started making more than $83 per hour. I work through this link, Bling6.com

Nice.
One of his better raps.
Reminds me, has anyone seen Joaquin Phoenix of late?
"Her" is an ok movie.
It kind of pounds the theme of "If you love someone you must set them free" into the ground though.
Would it have been better if it was like this instead?
I don't understand what is going on.
I kept waiting for them to go to LegoLand, but it never happened.
Remy is golden.
I agree, this is one of his best.
This is going on my facebook page.
The NSA knows.

Remy is not a youtube sensation... he is an internet deity.
Hey Remy, I'm a 1/4 Lebanese, how come I'm not 1/10th as cool as u?
I sort of like seeing these resurrected articles and attached comments. A good way to look back and see who's still with us and what characters popped up on a dead thread.
It's a good place to find counterfeit shoes.
*Pours out a cocktail for his 'tarian homies who aren't here.*
To think, this was back when Killaz was still on the run.
What ever happened to Art-POG?
I'm gonna pay homeless guys to leave huge duces in the public restrooms Reason staff members happen to use as payback for resurrecting old threads. Bad habits need to be nipped in the bud as soon as they show up on the radar.
You're going to pay homeless guys to leave big Mussolinis in restrooms?
It allows shrike to find his old email address so he could recover his password for his old name.
Of course he won't cuz as i suspected he is a just lazy fat fuck.
That had not occurred to me. I am tired of this new one to admit it.
Looks like this year all those Peyton Manning commercials won't be as embarrassing and awkward when they keeping airing until after the Super Bowl.
He looked pretty good. I'm just glad the Pats are out. I'll be rooting for Denver in two weeks regardless of who wins the NFC.
Haha......dumb fuckin' Yankees
I hope every one that supports this shit catches lyme disease.
And giardia and hempa virus
Lyme disease is a bit harsh.
How about if they just get their ovaries removed?
I don't like eugenics for humans anymore that deer. I hope the pro-abortion residents collide with deer and loose their ovaries in the accident.
So you do not want their ovaries lost, just to be loosened in the accident?
I don't like eugenics for humans anymore that deer.
Some days, I agree with you.
Usually not on my way to work.
That may be the dumbest fucking thing I've ever herd.
The town of Cayuga Heights, N.Y., spent $35,808 to sterilize a dozen does last month.
Heh, I could dispose of those same 12 deer for about ... $10?
Depends on how much .243 or 30-30's going for now.

That pisses me off. Why is it so fucking hard to have proof of something before passing it off as fact?
I seriously don't believe anything I was taught anymore unless it's been proven mathematically.
Because moron self-help writers distort the works of moron pop-sci writers, which were just distortions of moronic press releases in the first place.

Seattle off to a good tie.
Utah gives homeless people homes
Not much investigative reporting in the article, but it is funny to read the prog squirm when faced with the cognitive dissonance of Republicans being compassionate.
Yeah, they take swipes at Congressional Republicans and use the phrase "even conservative states" - just to recover from the idea.
My, how could anyone think that for some posters here the highest good is to make 'progs squirm' and carry water for the GOP when that is what you find noteworthy in this description of a welfare program that uses money taken from people to give other people 'free' 'no strings attached housing'?
Sheesh.
I thought it was too obvious to be worth pointing out that neither party is very compassionate towards the homeless. So I am hardly trying to carry water for the GOP.
I thought the idea of homing the homeless was a little similar to articles posted by Reason staff of instituting a national income, and a result being the abolition of all those safety net related bureaucracies. The article about the Utah homeless states that this initiative is supposed to cost less than leaving the homeless, homeless where they get harassed and jailed by police (probably for absurd reasons) and rack up medical bills. Are the citizens of Utah still footing the bill for something they should not? Yes. Could this initiative be a step towards reducing government spending? I don't know. The participants keep the housing regardless of goals. That is troubling.
Thanks for playing gatekeeper though.
Sorry, when a libertarian reads an article about the government taking tax money from someone and using it to give to another person, 'no strings attached,' and finds only noteworthy that a prog commenting on it had to struggle with acknowledging the GOP was compassionate, that seems quite odd indeed. One would think the most noteworthy thing in the article is the massive NAP violation going on by the Utah GOP administration.
TRAITOR
Mr. Obama weighed in on the subject in a newly released interview with David Remnick of The New Yorker. He insisted that Mr. Snowden had not revealed any illegalities, and while he may have raised "legitimate policy questions" the question was, "Is the only way to do that by giving some 29-year-old free rein to basically dump a mountain of information, much of which is definitely legal, definitely necessary for national security, and should properly be classified?"
Mr. Obama insisted that "the benefit of the debate he generated was not worth the damage done, because there was another way of doing it." But he did not say what that way was, and even his own aides acknowledge that if Mr. Snowden had not made so much information public, it was doubtful that the president would have announced the reforms and further studies of N.S.A. actions that he spoke about on Friday.
"He made me look bad. Off with his head."
More:
Obama said that racial tensions may have softened his popularity among white voters within the last two years, according to a story posted on the New Yorker magazine's website today.
That's a pretty unfair representation of what he said.
This seems fairly accurate. Of course there are some people who don't like him because he's black and there are also people who like him more because he's black. I hate Obama, but this seems like a pretty fair statement.
FTFA: Obama's election was one of the great markers in the black freedom struggle. In the electoral realm, ironically, the country may be more racially divided than it has been in a generation. Obama lost among white voters in 2012 by a margin greater than any victor in American history. The popular opposition to the Administration comes largely from older whites who feel threatened, underemployed, overlooked, and disdained in a globalized economy and in an increasingly diverse country. Obama's drop in the polls in 2013 was especially grave among white voters. "There's no doubt that there's some folks who just really dislike me because they don't like the idea of a black President," Obama said. "Now, the flip side of it is there are some black folks and maybe some white folks who really like me and give me the benefit of the doubt precisely because I'm a black President." The latter group has been less in evidence of late.
What I see is a lot of editorializing from a pretentious New Yorker writer with a reasonable quote from Obama surrounded by his nonsense.
There's no evidence that Obama was arguing in favor of any of the assertions the New Yorker writer jammed into that article.
I agree with you.
Problem 1 with this statement: Obama is a mulatto (if you put any sort of stock in race to begin with) to be accurate.
Problem 2: Obama was exclusively raised by white people. He was put into the Senate, mainly by white people (votes and financial backing). He was elected President, again, largely due to white people.
You would have to stretch the term black by the historically racist "one drop rule" to classify Obama as "a black president." Culturally, Obama is about as white as they come, from his upbringing, to his education, to his views.
But the Progtards wanted a "black" President. Not too black, mind you, but with a little hint of brown, so they could pat themselves on the back as to how enlightened they are and that they were "a part of history."
What does he self identify as? That would seem important to me.
When he was running, he identified himself as being black. Then again, I could identify as Cossack and it wouldn't necessarily make it so.
It seems to me that race is such a elusive concept that as long as their is some 'basis' for someone's self-identification I would defer to it.
So with Elizabeth Warren I would say, this woman just does have any cultural or physical characteristic that justify her claim of being 'Native American.'
On the other hand I can defer to Obama's identification as a black person.
Sure, because you're a racist.
Culturally he's as white as they come - son of a cia stringer, grandson of bank vice president. The most academic candidate since Stephenson and president since Wilson. There is literally nothing African-American in his upbringing or family background.
But his absentee dad was literally an African so he's a black guy to you.
So I am to be considered the racist because I would defer to a person's identification with a race? It seems in your view the non-racist thing to do would be to tell such a person that they are really white, since they were an 'academic candidate' and all.
You said that you considered him black.
Anyone can claim to be any race. Doesn't mean anyone else has to accept that claim - see Lizzy Warren and Ward Churchill as examples.
I want to know if he's cisblack or transblack. And what pronoun does he use for himself? I kid. We all know it's "we."
He's a white person who identifies as an Asia person who identifies as a black person.
'You said that you considered him black.'
No, what I said was what I said 'I can defer to Obama's identification as a black person.'
To be fair to Obama, the tendency to identify half-black half-white people as black was not invented by him. The one drop rule may not be a law anymore, or as closely followed socially, but there is still definitely a tendency in our society, among whites and blacks, to generally identify half black half white people as black, which is a legacy of past history.
And if you follow the logical conclusions of these facts:
1. Black people, now and historically, have been generally willing to embrace mixed race people as "black"
2. White people, now and especially historically, are very rarely willing to embrace a mixed race person with visible admixture as "white"
It makes sense that mixed-race people are/were more likely to identify as black.
Historically race was entrenched in American Law, especially in the South and North (not as much in the west) and the designation was imposed by the government on people of mixed race heritage. Even so, it was common for light skinned black people to pass - ie claim to be white and be accepted as such by other white people and the government.
The fact that mixed race people, almost universally choose to self identify as black today should tell you something about the advantage / disadvantage of doing so. Hell, we even have outright race frauds nowadays.
"Even so, it was common for light skinned black people to pass - ie claim to be white and be accepted as such by other white people and the government."
Well, obviously, given the social advantages. But, as you acknowledge, this was only done by people who could plausibly claim to not have any non-white ancestry.
"The fact that mixed race people, almost universally choose to self identify as black today should tell you something about the advantage / disadvantage of doing so. Hell, we even have outright race frauds nowadays."
Possibly, although I don't think it's that simple. As I've said, this isn't a new phenomenom, so I don't think you can claim that it's cause is entirely, or even mostly (without more evidence) due to recent events, policies, and cultural trends. Identifying as black can be advantageous in certain circumstances, and probably does influence some mixed-race people to identify as black, but IMO those are not the primary reason for this tendency.
much of which is definitely legal
If much of it is legal then some of it is illegal....
Obama just admitted that his administration is engaged in illegal espionage activities.
There's no doubt that there's some folks who just really dislike me because they don't like the idea of a black president
I'm so fucking tired of this.
I hate you because YOU SUCK AT BEING PRESIDENT.
Be that as it may, P, you must admit there is are probably two people who dislike Obama because they don't like the idea of a black president.
Sorry. Can't watch football and type at the same time. 8-(
I don't disagree with what he said here. He didn't accuse most, or even many, of his opponents of being racist. There definitely are people (and a lot more than two, Rich) that don't like having a black president. That said, these people are not by any means a majority (or close to it) of his opponents, and many of them would dislike him for his policies even if he was white
Franken has libertarian tendencies?

...when it suits him.
Just like his taxes. He pays them when it suits him.
you must admit there is are probably two people who dislike Obama because they don't like the idea of a black president.
True, but whenever I hear somebody make that claim, it is a flagrant attempt at an ad hominem dismissal of any objection, reasonable or otherwise, to el Jefe's banana republic policies.
"There's no doubt that there's some folks who just really dislike me because they don't like the idea of an ad hominem dismissal of any objection, reasonable or otherwise, to a black president's policies."
Racist!
The only people that matter electorially, who don't like Obama because of his skin
color, would have to be racist democrats or greens; as it is a given that republicans and others further right will not like him, no matter what color he was.
Further, the fact that he twice received a higher percentage of the popular vote than any democrat presidential nominee since 1964 indicates that many more people like him because he is black than dislike him for that reason.
"the fact that he twice received a higher percentage of the popular vote than any democrat presidential nominee since 1964 indicates that many more people like him because he is black than dislike him for that reason."
That hardly follows.
Sure it does.
No, the logic of your argument is terrible. Not only does it not take into account independent voters, or that the electorate today is different, racially and ethnically, than in 1964, but it also presumes that all Republicans voted against Obama regardless of his color (in other words, it assumes that no Republican might be a Republican for racial reasons).
No it doesn't
Only 1 democrat presidential candidate since 1944 has received more than 51% of the votes cast in that election.
That one candidate was Johnson in 1964 in the aftermath of JFKs assassination.
Obama received a higher percentage in both 2008 and 2012. So it is reasonable to conclude that the difference was the candidate and not a change in the electorate - since we are talking about a multi-decade trend.
So what's different about Obama that would get him 5-10% more votes than any other democrat nominee in the past 70 Years?
His State Senate record? His tenure as a community organizer?
Or perhaps the thing that made his election historic that everyone was talking about.
I just read Iran is 2 to 3 weeks from a nuke....
http://www.wnd.com/2014/01/ira.....lear-bomb/
Holy fuck how do these things keep getting published?
Because it is dubious?
Because it's World Net Daily and they'll publish any bullshit regardless of evidence?
Pretty much every major news outfit has said the same thing over the past 15 years and our own government seems to like repeating it ad nauseam.
It is like the climate change of US foreign policy. Always going to happen just a few days from now.
Because, one of these days, they'll be right?
Because, one of these days, they'll be right?
TNR hits back at Snowden, Greenwald and Assange
Snowden, Greenwald, and Assange hardly subscribe to identical beliefs, and differ in their levels of sophistication...The outlook is neither a clear-cut doctrine nor a philosophy, but something closer to a political impulse that might be described, to borrow from the historian Richard Hofstadter, as paranoid libertarianism. Where liberals, let alone right-wingers, have portrayed the leakers as truth-telling comrades intent on protecting the state and the Constitution from authoritarian malefactors, that's hardly their goal. In fact, the leakers despise the modern liberal state, and they want to wound it.
Radical libertarians are trying to discredit the technocratic liberal state by showing how untrustworthy it is!
Snowden's disgruntlement with Obama, in other words, was fueled by a deep disdain for progressive policies. The available postings by TheTrueHOOHA do show concerns about society's "unquestioning obedience to spooky types," but those date to 2010. Contrary to his claims, he seems to have become an anti-secrecy activist only after the White House was won by a liberal Democrat who, in most ways, represented everything that a right-wing Ron Paul admirer would have detested.
So Snowden must be a racist then.
I'm guessing that it won't take much longer before leftists and Demo-rats throw off their "civil liberties" masks and show us that they were really all about loving the state ?ber alles the whole fucking time.
That mask has been ripped off and thrown into the furnace. The writer here expresses shock that "establishment liberals" like Ezra Klein, Richard Cohen, Bernie Sanders, and Ron Wyden would approve of a radical Paultard's assault on the credibility of the government.
Clearly a sizable number of liberals would sell out civil liberties if it meant protecting the government's ability to expand its authority over areas they desire.
I do not follow your argument here. This one writer expresses shock that so many other liberals support Snowden and that demonstrates that a sizable number of liberals are on the wrong side?
I don't base this on just one man's opinion, but on the fact that so many other liberals ranging from members of Congress to people on internet forums who think Snowden is a traitor and Greenwald a sellout for their heretical beliefs and attacks on the president.
Fair enough.
"Clearly a sizable number of liberals would sell out civil liberties if it meant protecting the government's ability to expand its authority over areas they desire."
Back when Limbaugh made his in/famous "I hope he fails statement" there was some commentator on PBS who suggested that, in moments of national crisis (i.e. the financial meltdown) we should give serious thought to modifying our commitment to ideas like free speech.
(And, yes, I am aware of the general feelings toward Limbaugh on this site. Not the point.).
New York state's governor Andrew Cuomo Tells Conservative New Yorkers to "gitthefuckouttahere!"
I guess it is happening faster than I though!
Wow!
What would the reaction be if Perry said that there was no room for baby killers in Texas?
It's a tolerance thing.
One thing is certain. Progressives will stop at nothing to have their way. Mark my words, if progressivism succeeds there will be gulags for any standing in their way.
The party of peace.
"they have no place in the state of New York because that's not who New Yorkers are."
However, they do have a place in the 51st state, "West York" or "Adirondack" or ....
To be fair it is good advice.
Andrew Cuomo doesn't know anyone who voted for Nixon!
What an unhinged comment. I'm pretty shocked he said this out loud.
Gee, a whole article critiquing an anonymous poster's comments from years ago, who may or not be the traitorous Snowden...
That's fucking journalism to these authoritarian cunts. Bob on that state knob a bit harder you fuck and when they come for you I'll turn your ass in and fucking laugh.
"to borrow from the historian Richard Hofstadter"
I am so SICK of this appeal to Hofstadter. That essay was a fucking political hit piece designed to marginalize anybody who disagreed with Hofstadter and his hero JFK.
And it is STILL being used for the same purpose.
I don't know how anyone could seriously argue that a left-winger like Greenwald wants to unwind the modern liberal state.
But the TNR guy seems to think that must be the case since Greenwald has respect for Ron Paul and was never very enthusiastic in his support for Obama.
Because if you value civil liberties over Obama's domestic agenda you are a traitor.
Isn't Greenwald a pretty doctrinaire social democrat? Assange and Snowden I can at least see arguing that they're 'libertarian.' With Greenwald it's just a lie.
I don't know how far to the left he is on economic issues, but I don't get the sense that he's like Bernie Sanders. I did meet him once at a Young Americans for Liberty civil liberties panel where he was the liberal on a panel featuring a libertarian and conservative.
The progressive movement has a history of purging anyone who doesn't wholly love the state.
Liberals who embrace left-wing economic policy & civil rights will increasingly find themselves ostracized by what they still see as "their" party. That's what Greenwald IMHO.
Holy shit, some of the pearl clutching in that article is hilarious.
That monster! He said that he liked guns TWELVE YEARS AGO!? How was he not in prison?
Wait...you're saying his random internet musings didn't take the form of a coherent philosophy or manifesto? That's unbelievable!
In fact, the leakers despise the modern liberal state, and they want to wound it.
You got to watch the pea under the thimble here. Why is it the modern liberal state and not simply the liberal state?
The left long ago subsumed the word "liberal" into itself. Why the fuck does the author need to use "modern" in his description of what the despisers are trying to wound?
Snowden's disgruntlement with Obama, in other words, was fueled by a deep disdain for progressive policies.
No fucking shit, Sherlock.
THAT'S BETTER.
It is now.
Much better!
Much better.
If the 49ers lose, I'll root for the Seahawks in the super bowl because Marshawn Lynch went to a world class university.
The outlook is neither a clear-cut doctrine nor a philosophy, but something closer to a political impulse that might be described, to borrow from the historian Richard Hofstadter, as paranoid libertarianism.
D'oh!
I love how pointing out actual abuses is now paranoia. WTF.
Seacocks spew.
Seacocks looking a bit limp.
Seacocks? Did you think of that all by yourself?
Maybe he just wanted to look like an idiot when the Seahawks took the lead.
In fact, the leakers despise the modern liberal state, and they want to wound it.
Sedition! Treachery!
OT: So a Progressive acquaintance of mine posted this as his status yesterday. The stupid...it burns,.
"What horrible management America must have, to be nearing a surplus (yes surplus) in nearly every state in 2014. Obama did not save our car industry because handouts are evil. Obama did not kill our most hated enemy, that was just luck. Obama didn't establish the opportunity for everyone to have health insurance and prevent insurance companies from discriminating against sick people, because the website didn't work and kinks in the numbers need to be fixed. Also Obama's fiscal policies made our economy spiral down faster then it was when he took office (sarcasm). The charts showing that the deficit may be shrinking too swiftly (the fed gov was actually in surplus in Dec.), well those numbers must be lies. Horrible job Mr. President, horrible job."
You're friends with shrike in meatspace?
Gawd, you're even more of a loser than I thought.
Careful, Mr Wuncler owns the bank that owns your house.
I didn't realize the federal government managed state budgets
Also Obama's fiscal policies made our economy spiral down faster then it was when he took office (sarcasm).
I have no doubt the same bottom would have been found regardless of who was president.
What is extraordinary about Obama's economy is how slow, or nonexistent the recovery has been. And that is very much Obama's fault.
to be nearing a surplus (yes surplus) in nearly every state in 2014.
[citation needed]
I wanted so bad to write a long response to his post but then I realzied that someone this far gone can't be reasoned with nor debated.
He says 'nearly every state.' Given that all the plain states and a large portion of the south are running surpluses, this may be accurate.
It's just that the states and cities run by Obama's party are not the ones running surpluses.
He is overall a nice guy but I avoid discussing politics with him. His worship of government power is pretty astonishing.
This is pretty much where I got to with all my academic friends. Their lack of understanding - coupled with their general belief that they know more than most people - is astonishing.
Don't most states have balanced budget amendments?
Lowest labor force participation rate in over a generation. Highest debt-to-gdp ratio in a generation. Solyndra. Ener1. A123. That wasn't just luck! Great job, Mr. President. (sarcasm)
And how does one shrink a deficit too quickly? I guess you could make those same tired Keynesian arguments, but the act of lowering a deficit by itself doesn't cause harm.
"nearing in nearly"
That is all the the citations needed.
I wanted so bad to write a long response to his post but then I realzied that someone this far gone can't be reasoned with nor debated.
They hear assertions presented as fact, and pass them along.
I suspect this alleged "surplus" has to do with outlandish estimated rate of return on assets such as pension investments.
Monthly surpluses come and go because of other cyclical factors. Amazingly enough April tends to be a surplus month. Wonder why that might be...
I saw somebody claim, not long ago, that the top guy at Twitter is largely responsible for California's improved fiscal condition, based on his capital gains from the IPO. I have no idea if that is true.
He sold all of his shares?
Ed needs to stand up and take a bow:
[removed][removed]
Hey, they're playing against a QB that can't count to 30.
Meanwhile Sharapova is in big trouble.
He sold all of his shares?
Not all of them.
What a sequence of plays.
Indeed!
What the hell is wrong with Wilson? Two bad hand-offs and now a fumbled snap?
It seems like there is a turnover every few plays...
Germany has received 5 tons from NY Fed in the year since it started repatriating it.
Some pretty great conspiracy theory stuff in the article.
Ausome.
I haven't looked at the Zerohedge stuff in a while but I've been reading some other financial people (fund managers, etc) and, while they're not conspiracy people there have been some raised eyebrows over both the decisions to repatriate gold AND the relatively long timeframes involved.
Zerohedge is largely doomsayers and conspiracies, but a very enjoyable read. Given those two items (repatriation and time frame), it's hard not to see a conspiracy/problem.
Hell, simplest thing would just be to sell the gold in NY, and buy in Berlin. Let the free market move it for you.
In outdated gold repatriation news, Venezuela actually did receive their gold.
I remembered the announcement that they were doing so, but didn't catch when it happened. Wonder if it is still there.
Amazing an entire commercial break without one for the Following. One of the worst shows ever in the history of TV. And it gets another season.
lolwut?
It's true.
I tried to stick with it.
What are your thoughts on Sleepy Hollow?
Haven't seen any of it. I'm tired of supernatural-themed shows.
I'm not going to argue with you over it, but I wonder, how many episodes did you watch it for? Speaking from my experience with it, the first several episodes Carroll just kept winning, winning, and then winning again, and it got quite grating; however, it eventually "evened out" and became much more interesting, at least IMO.
I saw all of them. ALL of them. I know government is incompetent and the FBI is not covered in glory but even they should have wrapped this up in just a few weeks.
Uh oh. Niners driving.
...not so much
SUPERBOWL MOTHER FUCKERS!!!
Hopefully, it's a different ref crew than from your last trip.
I guess Kaepernick won't be kissing his biceps after that one...
I don't see Harbaugh feeling the love from the owners, either.
The 9ers need a coach, not a cheerleader.
Jeez he's taken them to the NFC Championship game three years in a row. I can't stand the guy but his record is very impressive. The 49ers were dogshit for years before he came along, and he turned them around immediately.
The cold weather elements notwithstanding, I don't see them beating Denver.
It really doesn't matter what you see, it matters what happens at the Superbowl.
It does not matter what the weather is. it does not matter what happens.
All that matters is who the refs want to win and who they want to lose.
...
Remember Superbowl XL!!!
Don't most states have balanced budget amendments?
Obama made them do it.
Terrible clock management from Harbaugh. Why would you rush that play with two timeouts and less than 45 seconds on the clock?
I don't think Erin Andrews was prepared for Richard Sherman.
Who is?
That was Erin Andrews best interview ever.
Who thought it would be a good idea to put a microphone in front of him?
It's always a good idea to give Sherm the mic. He's hilarious and talks more shit than anyone. Of course, he's the best corner in the league so he gets to.
It looks like he got a stern talking to before he went up on stage.
Sherm is actually usually pretty composed and a major smartass. The Erin Andrews thing was a fluke because he was super worked up and totally adrenalized.
"super worked up and totally adrenalized"
Super totally awesome, dude!
HIGH FIVE.
Indeed. Her face was fucking priceless.

"Four years on, Citizens United is ruining democracy. Here's how to get it back.
"By FRED WERTHEIMER
"...The unlimited contributions, the secret money and the corporate cash washing into our politics returns us to a system that existed before the reforms enacted by Congress after the Watergate scandal?an era when government decisions could be routinely purchased with campaign contributions....
"And the bad situation could be made worse. In October, the Supreme Court heard arguments in another case?McCutcheon v. Federal Election Commission?that involves a challenge to the limits on the total contributions a donor can make to federal candidates and party committees in a two-year election cycle....
"Efforts to remove secret money from our elections are also being pursued at federal agencies with the power to adopt regulations that would provide new disclosure requirements for tax-exempt, nonprofit groups (Internal Revenue Service), for corporations (Securities and Exchange Commission) and for broadcast stations (Federal Communications Commission)."

First:
Second:
Nothing says "We're restoring Democracy!" like unaccountable bureaucrats writing regulations without anyone voting.
Democracy means unelected career political agents writing backroom regulations with no input from citizens.
"Four years on, Citizens United is ruining democracy. Here's how to get it back.
I quit reading right there; tells me everything I need to know about the author. He's a liberal dickwad that hasn't comprehended anything that anyone's said in the past 2 decades. Trying to enlighten such a person will only result in the waste of labor expended.
Oh, you don't know little Freddie Wertheimer, husband of Senior National Correspondent for National Public Radio Linda Wertheimer?
He's been beating that dead and bloody pony for decades now. THE KKKORPORATIONS ARE KKKOMING TO KKKILL US ALL! WITH THEIR DIRTY, DIRTY MONEY! ONLY THE PURE INTENTIONS OF TOP MEN CAN SAVE US!
Ignoring him is the smart move.
None of those players are from the city of Seattle.
I fully expect to see a Salon, HuffPo, or Mother Jones article tomorrow about Erin Andrews, Richard Sherman, and the "Scary, Angry Black Man" trope and what it says about our society.
at least he didn't try to kiss her.
[removed][removed]
Awesome.
This is a much better example of "normal" Richard Sherman. And is why he's awesome.
"I'm better at life than you!"
So, was there a football game or something?
Are you Canadian too?
Maybe I am, maybe I'm not.
A MYSTERY!
So how's the guy with the shattered leg doing?
I tried watching the BBC "The Musketeers" but it was rubbish.
Huh, but it does have the young Admiral Adama in the cast.
LENS FLARE!
If you want rubish then watch Bitten or Intelligence or Revolution.
As an action adventure show it is not all that bad and far from the worse.
Black Sail is obviously better...cuz you know, boobs.
Is it racist that the Richard Sherman clip reminds me of:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vimZj8HW0Kg
God willing we'll all meet again in the sequel, "Spaceballs 2: The Search for More Money".
Some sort of Mel Brooks marathon on HD Net Movies channel.
Oh man, the butthurt on Deadspin is already epic, especially regarding Sherm. I will feast upon butthurt every day for two weeks. I hope I don't get fat.
Wait, people are pissed about that hilarious interview?
Why is everyone on Gawker so pathetic and miserable?
I for one would like to see actual Broncos fighting actual Seahawks.
Does this qualify?
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll is a 9/11TROOFER
Why doesn't Jon Stewart or Stephen Cobert do an interview with Remy?
Another comment section rehash. God damn it Reason.
It sucks. It's like they are deliberately pissing us off.
I seriously don't understand the utility of re-using posts like this.
It is mind boggling.
Generate additional revenue with no additional labor!
Fuckin' capitalists! Still it's horrible and needs to stop.
At least purge all the 6 month old comments when they re-post old stories.
Libertarian calls for purges!
YOU KNOW WHO ELSE CALLED FOR PURGES!?
Karen Carpenter?
Reason is going for a green award for most reused/recycled content in 2014. Maybe they could monetize that like carbon credits.
So my wife is Netflixing Lost. I never watched it because it sounded idiotic and a trip to the show's Wikipedia page proved that.
Did people stick around for the last two seasons because they had already put so much time into to it?
Eh, Seasons 1 and 2 were great and season 4 was almost perfect. A few of the episodes are some of the best television storytelling you'll ever see.
It's a show that rewards patient viewing by having all these thrilling and unexpected moments.
That being said the finale crashed and burned harder than anything I've ever seen, even worse than Battlestar Galactica, IMO.
Never bothered to finish BSG, after the revelation of the seven special Cylons that was it for me.
even worse than Battlestar Galactica
I haven't seen Lost, but I'll tell you right now I don't think BSG series finale can be rivaled. It's -literally- as bad as Hitler putting Jews in ovens.
IMHO the Lost finale was way, way worse.
The BSG finale at least had a cool space battle and one last Adama speech. It was just the last 15 minutes and epilogue that was terrible.
Lost ended in a church with a bunch of actors smiling at each other idiotically with very little answered or explained.
I saw where the BSG finale was going to go and I was cool with that. It's not like there was some huge reveal that should have come as a surprise to anyone.
Whereas, the Lost finale was expected to explain all the stuff that didn't make any sense for the last few seasons - and didn't. Admittedly, I hadn't given a shit for awhile by that point so maybe I wasn't paying a lot of attention.
Lost was a great show that had the worst ending in the history of tv. The writers always said that they knew exactly how they were going to end it from the beginning. That turned out to be an obvious lie.
That episode with Alison Janney was pretty terrible as well.
"The Island has a vagina and if you remove its tampon bad stuff happens" was essentially the plot device that drove the action of the finale.
The perfect ending would have been Jack--as the new Jacob--being stuck on the Island forever with Locke, starting the cycle all over again because good can never eradicate evil.
As I had to explain to my bro when he wanted to bitch about a BSG plotline just a few weeks ago, I said, 'look, I never watched the show, and I have pointed that out to you many, many times over the years, but you still don't get it. I view the fact that you watched that show as nothing short of a character defect.'
I hope that solved the problem once and for all.
Holy shit: Ezra Klein's next venture will include Matthew Yglesias.
The other day someone made a joke about Matthew Yglesias joining Brother Ezra in whatever moronic publication he decided to found.
These people are officially beyond parody.
The JournoList 2: electric boogaloo.
As I predicted, Klein is acting as an irresistible smug magnet that's going to attract all the young, smug journalists in America to form one smug singularity, or Smugularity.
So... Is stupid multiplying kinda like multiplying two negative numbers in that it turns positive? Is that the theory they're working with here?
This part makes me laugh:
What he's really saying is that whenever information comes in that is damaging to a Democrat, the journalist should supply 'context' in the form of mitigating propaganda.
why hadn't the Internet made the news better at delivering crucial context alongside new information?
Yeah, that's pretty good. It's almost as if by some miracle he hadn't figured out how to link to sources.
As I was writing this, I realized that to the typical Liberal that'd be inclined to read either of these bumbling idiots, it's feelings, not sources, that matter.
Did you look at the comments on that page? It consists entirely of one sentence memes, GIFs and semi-incestuous back-patting.
Ezra Klein himself actually posted multiple Gifs as his only comment.
Truly they are our intellectual superiors.
Look at this comment thread:
I've never heard of this website before, but it seems that everyone is an idiot.
I specifically avoided the comments section. Now you've made them unavoidable, and damaged my brain. Thanks Irish. Thanks a lot.
Which site? The Verge? It's a site founded by former Engadget staffers who AOL pissed off.
Hey, it's AWESOME and EXCITING, so everything's just ducky!
Our mission is to create a site that's as good at explaining the world as it is at reporting on it.
Oh god. I can't stop laughing.
Because the traffic in Orange County isn't bad enough
Obama: 'To Anyone Out There Who Has Ever Been Assaulted ... I've Got Your Back'
http://www.weeklystandard.com/.....75409.html
You didn't even have the back of a pal who a pig thought he could treat as a second class citizen on his own yard. As soon as the heat turned up, you ran with your tail between your legs, you little bitch. Look at this, you are against those things everyone else is against too!
Look at this, you are against those things everyone else is against too!
Yeah, not sure I've heard anything from the pro-sexual assault camp in a while.
He doesn't have my back, thank you very much.
"To anyone out there who has ever been assaulted: ... I've got your back."
Now, *that* is insensitive phrasing.
I posted this in the thread below about the abusive cop, but I decided to also post it here since this thread is newer. In this incident in Wisconsin, a woman yells at a police officer who is arresting other people. Officer responds by going after her, slamming her against the hood of a car, punching her, and then beating her on the ground
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n69ClvDlgdE
This is the dashcam, you can't see what happened on the ground (the assault takes place around the 2 minute mark)
http://www.youtube.com/v/VHxFHYb6gRA
This is a cell phone video that captures the rest.
End result: woman charged with felony assault of an officer, officer is put in an admin role
I found this on this thread of a college football board a read. Really depressing, half of the people in this thread defend the cop, and there's gagworthy fellating of cops in general.
http://247sports.com/Board/30/.....25276401/1
Sports and cop culture go hand in hand. Not surprising.
Wow. With the exception of the OP everyone in that thread is a scum bag.
One guy makes it hilariously racial:
Then another guy gives him ammunition by actually being a racist:
Good God.
As someone who has read that board for a while, there are a lot of legitimately racist people there. Many of the Southerners in particular do nothing to dispel stereotypes about that part of the country. The guy you quoted is a black guy who seems to have a problem with white people, especially white men (he regularly posts about how white girls love black men, although to be fair, it's a pretty effective way of trolling the racist white guys on that board).
The NSA clearly has WAY too much time on its hands.

"Most" "use" "of" "scare" "quotes" award:
Senator says Dems should look at the former president's "predatory" and "offensive" behavior before saying the GOP is waging a "war on women."
Yes, that left-wing rag is really not happy that RP is calling Slick Willy on what would be a DISASTER if he had an R after his name.
http://www.sfgate.com/news/pol.....176701.php
But Clinton is on-board with whatever it is the feminist say they want, so it's all good. If Bob Fillner were more important and sufficiently liberal they would have forgiven him just like they've forgiven Client 9 and Congressman Snapchat in New York.
Plus Clinton will still be more popular than Obama by the time Obama leaves office so it's best to totally ignore his sociopathic behavior to prepare the way for his triumphant return to the White House with Hillary.
Hillary goes to the White House, Bill gets assigned an underground love bunker - so long as he stays underground, he can invite anyone to "visit."
Hell those lefties would let Clinton get away with what Qaddafi did as seen in Pantsfan's link.

"Hell those lefties would let Clinton get away with what Qaddafi did as seen in Pantsfan's link."
I'm concerned that the "free shit" party is selling "free shit" to the point that the GOP, let alone any libertarian candidate is toast.
Obo fucked up the economy and now we have a push regarding 'income equality' as a result; more gov't meddling to fix the last.
While the rest of you were watching the Grammy's,
his Obamaness lobbed some missiles into Somalia
I didn't know Obama was being impeached.
They're multilateral, evidence-based, nuanced, healing peaceful love taps.
New York Times editorial board goes fucking insane.
KOOOOOOOOOOOCH!
Holy shit. This entire article reads like the Times staff is holed up in a bunker somewhere discussing Protocols of the Elders of Zion in hushed tones.
Oh, forgot the awesome opening paragraph:
Trying to visualize this metaphor is making my brain bleed.
They come from the land of the Roves and Kochs
Inviting lame Led Zepplin jokes
It's easy to visualize: The Kochs are fucking every right-thinking Democrat right in their ear, with their hot, flaming airships of manhood, and claiming that they came and enjoyed it.
Obamacare Is The Law now, so aren't Republicans the suppoerters of health care reform?
And yeah, that editorial reads like it came from a Yahoo message board.
Or ~.033% of Obama's of the warchest raised by the Obama campaign in 2012.
FTFM. Where's my fucking edit button?!
Venture capitalist Tom Perkins came under fire after publicly comparing the experience of wealthy Americans to a deadly Nazi campaign that preceded the Holocaust.
"Writing from the epicenter of progressive thought, San Francisco, I would call attention to the parallels of fascist Nazi Germany to its war on its 'one percent,' namely its Jews, to the progressive war on the American one percent, namely the 'rich,'" he wrote, opening a letter to the editor of the Wall Street Journal.
And the first comments go on to prove his point.
Marlboro Man Dies From Smoking-Related Disease
I thought he died of cancer back in the 80s? Must have been urban legend.
