Tom Bevan Talks Real Clear Politics and Election Polling
"What we bring to the table is a different, outside the box way, anti-conventional wisdom," says Real Clear Politics Founder Tom Bevan.
Real Clear Politics launched in 2000 as a news aggregation site and has expanded to include new "verticles", or sub-sites, such as Real Clear Markets and Real Clear World. Real Clear Politics has become very popular for its polling feature that averages major polls in order to "cut through the clutter," as Bevan says, and avoid bias. Bevan sat down with ReasonTV's Tracy Oppenheimer to discuss these expansions and how to be successful in the new media world.

Off topic: Some may say it is time to step out of the way and let Texas have that war with the UN they are clearly itching for:
http://freebeacon.com/u-n-huma.....companies/
But being a libertarian and the natural moderate instincts that come with being one, I believe we should stop funding the UN altogether as a necessary step to avoid that war from happening.
The UN is as impotent as joe. Who gives a shit what they do? Yes, I would love it if the US stopped funding them, but it won't because our government finds the UN useful.
Which would win in a fight: the UN, or joe?
When he was nine Catholic priest and UN peace keepers would trade him around to one another for a cigarette.
So, naturally, he is a big fan of both.
Neither. Hair would get pulled, slaps would be traded; there would be some scratching. And then it would be over.
There would be a lot of emotional crying as well.
Cripple fight!
All the more reason Texas targets them. These poor UN tranzies have no idea of the trouble they are in. One day they arrive in their taxpayer funded suites with their tax payer funded escorts and the only hint they'll get is the heavy scent of raw hide and tobacco as a Texas Ranger waiting in the dark guts them with a Bowie.
Isn't this more or less how Europeans think Texas really is?
If it keeps them on their toes, I'm for letting them think it. That goes double for third world UNcrats.
Pretty much.
RCP is a decent website, but I get enough poll data as it is.
That's why I figured it was safe to OT here. Live and learn, dunphy.
Speaking of OT and cops, did you see the 24-7 link about an NYPD cop who was a would-be cannibal?
It's kind of hard to digest a story that is stuffed with such a paucity of facts.
Full story here.
OK,
That story had more meat on it and did satisfy some of my hunger for more information.
I guess I should focus my attention to the complaint which should be stuffed full of juicy details.
Well, to be fair, you knew it would leave a bad taste in your mouth.
Joking aside, that is some creepy shit.
Nobody is making bad puns about eating?
I am disappoint!
Yup. I saw that headline. However, it was just after I munched down a jalapeno burger. I wasn't about to touch the story until later.
