Reason Foundation, a national nonprofit research and education organization and publisher of Reason, the nation's leading libertarian magazine and website, seeks a full-time, talented individual to play an essential role on our communications team and help further Reason's reputation as the country's leading source of high-quality libertarian journalism, research, and analysis.

As a member of the communications team you will work collaboratively to create, edit and publish charts, infographics, animations, maps, videos, and audio content for use in social media posts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other platforms), as well as in email newsletters, news releases, paid media campaigns, and more. You will also coordinate with policy analysts, journalists, podcast hosts, and others to identify key messaging in their content and do the hands-on work of generating tailored multimedia products to share and broaden the reach and impact of that work.

The ideal candidate will have excellent design and communication skills and a clear record of hands-on digital content creation while working independently.  The position requires strong editing and proofreading skills, a high level of interest in news and policy, and the ability to use Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator and Photoshop. Experience with RStudio, amCharts, WordPress, Google Analytics, mass email platforms, social media monitoring tools, and/or Associated Press style are also all pluses.

A bachelor's degree and two-to-three years of relevant experience is preferred.

Work location is flexible and negotiable. This full-time position will likely require work on some nights and weekends.

To apply, please send a resume and cover letter to jobs@reason.com.
